Somerset V Wolves Friday 5th May 19;30

Yeah, in his last 3 home meetings, admittedly Freddie has got two maximums but in the other only managed a paid maximum. And only finishing 2nd in the first GP, what's he playing at, getting paid for nothing that bloke!!!!

Freddie ought to be ashamed of him self !!

Great result for Kyle lastnight. So happy to see a Brit riding well for Wolves!

As for this meeting - our reserves might just be a little too weak but sure they will give it 100%.

Different level/opposition/track I know but Ellis Perks scored 10 + 4 for Redcar at home to Berwick last night! You never know.

At least his confidence will be up. But Somersets reserves are their main strength.

Be interested to know when was the last time Wolves had 6 British riders line up in a meeting?

Kyle is always brilliant at OTA too so expect a big score from him tonight.

Exactly ! I am a relatively new returnee to the sport after a break of some 40 years and obviously I have seen lots of changes to our sport on my return over the last three years !!! But I never expected teams to operate without their No1s so many times. I watched the GP at the weekend on TV and saw Freddie riding and was looking forward to seeing him ride this Friday at the Oaktree, the same as I wanted to see Holder and KK before, but alas we are to be starved of this treat and having to put up with guests that we will see, probably more times than enough this season.

The Burnham and Highbridge News actually wrote in their sport coverage on Speedway that Wolves are led bi Freddie. It is not the Promoters that are ripping us off it is the system in use !!!

Have the Somerset Promotion (& their fans) been conned big time with the move into the top flight?

Are is it simply that the fixture compiler should be sacked & all "B" fixtures should be rearranged NOW!

No one was conned.

The Rebels promotion made the decision based on local fixtures with none local in the lower division.

Pure and simple.

The situation is totally unacceptable however I have a genuine question.

If the Somerset promotion, assuming they were told, were that concerned about their fans being shortchanged with Wolves only having half a team couldn't they have said, as the staging track, if they'd have so wished, 'We're not having that, we'll have to rearrange?'.

That's not knocking Somerset in any way, it's not their riders that are missing after all.

Another test for Somerset who will hope to carry on the fine form of Monday. The OTA faithful will be hoping Rohan can carry on his great score from Monday into this one. If he can I can see another win for the Rebels by about 6. No ef's or falls please, these have basically cost us 6 home points regardless of how Rohan has been doing.

Best of luck to Somerset. They have their proper team.

Wolves have 3 guests, not their fault but shows how speedway in this country has become so unimportant

Shame, but a super chance for Somerset to pick up all 3 points..

I might have hoped for a point with a full team, but I don't think that's possible now. That was a great win for the Rebels at Belle Vue

It was, but that wasn't exactly a strong BV team either..
