Kent V Buxton

Sorry if already been posted

Going to be a very hard meeting for buxton they seem to be a couple riders down aswell.

Big mistake for Kent to host a Buxton select on a bank holiday and very flakey from Buxton.

After 2 weeks of poor meetings and now little opposition I'm definitely giving this one a miss but fingers crossed the weather behaves for those who do attend

I am also given this a miss.

Not recovered yet from the last farce of a meeting.

Also weather very iffy.

Now Buxton missing their 3 Heat Leaders!

Predict small crowd, and Kent to hit 60 points if weather stays OK.

Their only really missing two heat leaders, Lee Dicken is useless anyway and will likely score more points from R/R

Useless is harsh. Plus R/R is likely to be taken by Woolley, Rutherford & Geary twice. Hardly going to set the world on fire compared to Dicken.

Harsh, but point is their BEST riders are missing.

For an AWAY side to have them not riding,is just not giving the paying public value for money IMHO. :nono:

Going to be visiting from Scotland next week for a family wedding.

What is "the Invicta pairs"?

not sure of this years line up but it's usually a pairs meeting with each of the kings team in a side each and the 2nd rider made up of other local riders and ex riders

the team names are usually made up of ex kent and local teams, Sittingbourne, Crayford, Canterbury Iwade etc

not much more than a fixture filler to be honest

Thanks for that.

I'll bring a couple of tonnes of shale with me to see if that'll help.

Not sure what you expect us to do - Lee Dicken crashed yesterday and is now ruled out with concussion (SCB regs) and couldn't have ridden even if he felt up to it. Matt Williamson crashed at Workington on Saturday and again yesterday and was feeling very second hand (James Cockle guested). Ellis Perks said he was not well enough to ride yesterday and we couldn't have a facility as he has not ridden yet for Buxton this year (SCB rules). We had originally booked Cockle for Perks today as Perks was always at Rye House.

My point is the rules are all wrong.

Buxton should of been able to ask for the meeting be postponed.

To not have the TOP three riders available is just not right.

It was obvious Kent would hit the 60 mark so it was NOT a competitive meeting.

Speedway shooting itself in the foot as usual.

Well, it didn't look as if Kent missed Danny Ayres with a score of 61 points ! Must have been a nightmare for Buxton to lose so many riders

and not have any facility to cover for Perks...No happiness for either Buxton or Kent fans from this one...but no one's fault as I see it.
