teaboy279
I ve only seen Kyle Roberts when he guested for kent at Arlington, and he was a long way off the pace then. Looks to have good equipment though. Just think his season will start when he drops to reserve.
CUFC_Brummie
Meeting off, seems a bit premature but I'm not in Birmingham so maybe the weather is worse this morning than the forecast says. Two bank holiday meetings lost to the weather, not good for the club.
StephenMiller
Was chucking it down overnight so presume this did the damage. Terrible start to 2017 for the Brummies, they just cannot catch a break at the moment.
Heathen1984
Still seems an early call off.
guitar_art
Still seems an early call off. Perhaps you would prefer it to be called off when people cant make other plans for there bank holiday. Good move by Brum imo even though it will cost us dearly.

Good move by Brum imo even though it will cost us dearly. you can not please some people any of the time. Maybe people have become used to having the p155 taken out of them by clubs leaving it to late when it was obvious that the meeting wouldn't be going ahead because of the weather.
brianbuck
Bear in mind the fact that this meeting was due to start at 3pm - not in the evening. As the sun is now shining (at 1.45pm) perhaps it might have been a hasty decision but we have to rely on the opinions of the people on the spot (ie the track curator etc) and the weather forecast which has often proved to be wrong on previous occasions. Plus the fact that the track staff are not able to work on the track on the previous day when there is greyhound racing taking place. This fixture has been heavily advertised so no one would have wanted it to be called off and with this being the third Perry Barr meeting to fall foul of the weather this season, it has been an unlucky start for the Brummies. uk_martin
I live in Perry Barr, and I could see what was going to happen as soon as I opened the bedroom curtains in the morning. The garden was sodden, and paths and roads were covered in puddles. It was still raining until about mid-morning with the threat in about half of the weather forecast web sites for more rain to come. A no-brainer as far as I could see, especially bearing in mind the very limited time any track staff would have had to work on the track.
