Shadders
Not the best meeting on newly laid shale that became greasy mid meeting after a short shower. It'll take a little while for the team to get used to it I s'pose. Anyone who questions Wells inclusion for Watt had that answered today. Gotta say Bates not being in the Lions side helped us greatly.

Shadders
A great performance from Danny ayres today. He has come on a bit this season for sure. Agreed. He was gating and looked in control, apart from one fall when he fell under pressure from Scott Nicholls

Shadders
Auty has been good at Rye House the times I've seen him there I suspect he would've scored more than the bloke who replaced him

I know you can only beat whats in front of you but i wouldnt take any heart from that if i was a rye fan.. I disagree. The addition of Wells has plugged the only real gap in the side. Pretty much a similar meeting to Rye's loss at Wolves where we were affected by Kennett's illness and missing Branford. I doubt we would have got within ten points of Wolves with a full and fit side much in the same way i doubt Leicester would have got near a match point today. The choice of Richard Hall was as good a choice as Clegg was for us at Wolves but Bjerre today was awful and Danny King's lack of form especially where he rides the track well is alarming Four league wins out of four i take heart from that.
GWC
Not one heat winner from gate 4 says something about the track alterations and additional shale. The heavy shower mid meeting made it difficult for the riders who copped pretty well. Danny Ayres is a real crowd pleaser and is what is missing in the rather sterile world of Speedway these days. Sidney the robin
Well done to Danny Ayres chuffed for him , last year at Swindon he got a max in a NL challenge Swindon v Coventry. He was great value and fun and speedway could do with a few more like him.
KevtheRev
Not only impressed with Danny Ayes, but also Kim Nillson. Rode like a strong number 1 and his battles with Scotty were great viewing. Glad he moved away from Lakeside and continued to improve.
1 valve
I think it would be safe to presume that had the Lions had Gomolski & Batesavailable instead of Verge & Hall then the final score would have been at least close enough for the Lions to have gained an away point.Lasse was a surprisingly low scorer - but King is the one not performing at the moment and he needs to be a more reliable top end contributor for the team.
