Two Wimbledon Legends

Wembley Speedway - The Pre-War Years

Speedway's Classic Meetings

75 Years of Eastbourne Speedway

Sorry gustix but have to say of all of Norbold's speedway books which are without exception excellent(you can put my cheque in the mail Norman)!! , one of his most enjoyable ever is "Pie, Mash and Prefabs"-wonderful read(on second thoughts make it two cheques)!!

Have to agree with you there! Of course, it also mentions speedway, so we are protected from the "OT Brigade"!!! :P

Of course, all the books listed on the SpeedwayPlus website are relatively recent issues. I have plenty of other books that aren't listed there, including Tom Stenner's fabulous "Thrilling the Million".

I have many of the aforementioned books including ones written by John Berry (which I constantly refer to on here...much to the annoyance of one particular individual recently I'm more than happy to say!), Len Silver, Reg Fearman, Eric Boocock etc etc. All good sources of reference plus excellent statistical books including the many year books and Histories of the British League publications (Take a bow Alan Robertson and Peter Oakes)

Plenty of other recent tomes missing off that list...

The Billy Hamill, Sam Ermolenko, Moran Bros biographies by Brian Burford. The original "Confessions" by John Berry (my favourite of the books published in this century) and "Wheels and Deals" by Ian Thomas as well as Reg Fearman's book.

The two books on Cradley by Peter Foster, "Clay Country Speedway" and couple of books on Hull.

Not to mention "Hammerin' Round".....

Answer to Sid - I've still got the Websters books from the early 70's as well as most of the Yearbooks from the late 70's and early 80's. One I'm missing is the 1977 Speedway Yearbook, so if anyone's looking rid of one PM me!

Brian Belton was a prolific author a few years ago, on both speedway and various social matters. He seems to have disappeared from the media scene over the past couple of years. For those interested in his writings, this Amazon list may be of use! :nono:  https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=dp_byline_sr_book_1?ie=UTF8&text=Brian+Belton&search-alias=books-uk&field-author=Brian+Belton&sort=relevancerank

Yes I sold off my programmes (vastly under priced I have to say) as I didn't have the room for them when I re-located...regretted it ever since!

Is there a Link for speedway book titles associated with Brian Belton please?

Come on Gustix! Click on his author page, then sports, then motor sports.

I've even done it for you.

Thanks very much indeed for this salty. I think that I am getting too old for all this sort of thing.

Looking at Brian Belton's speedway books list, as I recall 'Hammerin' Round' was not very popular in the East Anglia region.
