Tonga
Huge well done to the Scotts tigers,,, what a humping after a sheffield humping on Friday. You may disagree with a humping on Friday but winning by so little on Friday is a reverse humping. All the cr4p spouted about conspiracies and sheffield running scarred,,,,, get a life. Â Well done tigers 🙀
MD
What were we worried about! Total anti-climax as Glasgow ran riot other than the impressive Riss M at reserve taking both of Edinburghs two race wins. Pickering looks a decent find despite his score and could really come on with a spell at reserve if EDI could get Clegg out the way. Masters was very poor, Wells was just as he always is at Ashfield. Â Bewley finally came to life with a paid max and was well backed up by the top 3. Hopefully Lunna has got away with severe bruising after a difficult ht3. Â MacGregor was desperate to catch out either Wells or Worrall in ht15 which made it a bit of a farce. The riders didnt help matters during the meeting by refusing to come to the tapes until long after the 2 mins had expired which dragged out an already long meeting. However all in all I'll never tire pumping this lot regardless of how.
Paulco
That was sweet . That was as dominant a performance in the derby as I can remember . We were well up for it , and they hadn't an answer . Had it not been for the hard working Mark Riss it would have been really embarrassing . By all accounts Edinburgh's gating at home last night was awful , tonight it wasn't even that good as we were bike lengths clear in many of the races . Worrall , Lawson , Summers and particularly Bewley were immense , we could even lose the luckless Lunna early on and still canter to victory . Only M Riss and Wells offered any resistance , the rest were dreadful . I've been guilty of criticising the track so far this season as it has been a one line track , tonight it was much better . damosuzuki
When Lunna went out I really thought it would be tight, however Bewley and Perry backup up the top 3 magnificently. Gutted about Nike, who's second crash was a sickener, so very glad he was able to walk away. What a night at the Stade!!!! Roll on Armadale. The injury rider replacement rule is one of the more sensible rules introduced . Takes a bit of pressure off the reserves . Felt for young Jack tonight , he looked so down sitting on the back of the victory truck . It's a tough learning curve for him , hopefully he doesn't put too much pressure on himself .

snapper
Before the meeting started the Edinburgh boys were all lined up ready for the parade and Dan walked passed them to get something from his van and Sam shouted over "Hey Dan do you remember us" I think Dan can return the compliment now and say "Hey boys do you remember me, paid maximum"
tyretrax
Jim McGregor must have faster reaction time than a rider, He released the tapes and hit the stop button before the riders dumped the clutch. Well done on being the star of the show.
stewmac
One thing is sure: If Monarchs gate like they did last night, Tiggers will hit almost 60.Thank goodness for Mark Riss. If he had been like the rest, it'd have been around 65-25.They should hang their heads in shame. Edited April 30, 2017 by stewmac
Speedball
Very very impressed by all things at Glasgow last night. Not been to the NSS yet but that's the best experience I've had at British speedway for years. Just a shame Edinburgh didn't make more of a contest out of it. Â I love speedway but often come away feeling disenchanted. Poor facilities, racing, presentation etc but keep going because my team and the sport is in my blood. The biggest compliment I could pay Glasgow is that I would happily comeback every week if I lived closer. Â Off the track, so much attention to detail. I know it's perhaps easier when you have multi-millionaires in charge but some of the touches are simple yet effective. Getting kids involved with the mascot, flags around the stadium, a speedway bike for kids (and adults if inclined) to sit on for photos, webcam in the bar showing action in the pits, spot prizes of for checking in on Facebook, staff in smart uniforms. That combined with fans who are up for it and a great view of the racing led to a great night out. Bloody loved it. Â On the track, Glasgow looked very powerful. The top three all did their job and when Bewley chips in like that, they will take some stopping. Dan was excellent and looks such a great prospect for British speedway. Â Other than Mark Riss, the Monarchs looked very ordinary. Sad to say it but surely Max Clegg is on borrowed time. Looks very short on confidence. Â Finally just want to say a massive thank you to Gazc and Paulco for their hospitality. Gaz especially for going out of his way to help me out. Very much appreciated. All the best for the season. kermitfrog
I'm concerned about Jack Smith in terms of his future at the club. I personally want him to stay because I'm thinking he'll be good around June/July time, but I'm concerned that too many people last night aren't giving the lad time and I hope the club don't feel the same. I was saying to Gazc last night that he doesn't look comfortable with the Glasgow track. He certainly looked a better rider when I've seen him at Lynn and Peterborough this season. Â They must stick with him though. Firstly because I can't see any better 2 pointers out there and secondly, if you keep and support him you'll get the benefit in years to come. Using Danny Phillips at Newcastle as an example, he struggled to get a point last season but they stuck with him and he got paid 8 last week.
