cyclone
Don't know why some folk reckon Monarchs will run Tigs close or even win The reality is they have defeated home & away, the two teams who were, result wise, the poorest in the League, when they met them (i.e. Berwick & Scunny). Although Pickering has made an encouraging start, sterner tests lie ahead for him, starting on Saturday. Clegg has shown signs of slight improvement from his poor start, but is still suspect at scoring points away from home. Likewise Davey has struggled to beat opponents in the two away matches run. Tigers probably have the best heat leader trio in the League and Lunna & Bewley are capable of beating any visitor. IMO Monarchs will be doing well to restrict Glasgow to a ten point home win. GS550
Who knows, we may get more inflammatory leaflets dished out at the end, with good grammar and correct punctuation. Ooh err missus, get you with your grammar police. 'Inflamatory' you say, only cos the moanarchs fans were determined to 'be' inflamed at nothing. Fenway Bleachers
MMMmmm. We were accused of trying to harm Glasgow`s business growth, and deny them the ability to develop. However we are bigger than that and won`t stoop to such pettiness. That was in 2015 and ancient history , lets hope. There have been episodes of skullduggery which both sets of fans will throw at the other, to highlight under hand practices, which they deny their own team do. It`s called being a fanatic. Support your own team and leave it at that. If Edinburgh don`t win everything.......I don`t give a monkeys who does. Bagpuss
One would hope that the team containing five Brits can defeat the one tracking one and a half

scotchopper
Gutted I am missing this one as it should be a cracker and could be really close. As others have said this is probably the first real test for Edinburgh, we have had a pretty good start to the season and the best thing is that all of the riders (except maybe Ricky) have room for improvement so we are capable of winning this one. We can't have all 7 take a ride to get dialled in like we did at scunny though got to be on it from the start. Hoping this is the night that Max Clegg finally picks up some reasonable points at ashfield. Richie Worrall looked very impressive at the dale last week so Sam and Ricky will need to at their best to beat him but I do fancy them over Summers and Lawson. For me the result is all about Mark and Josh, if they pick up wins like they have done every meeting so far we will win this meeting if Dan and Nike get the better of them we'll struggle. I'm always optimistic so will go 46-44 Monarchs.

Would be ancient history if you didn't keep bringing it up but lets be honest here your lot can be just as petty as the best off them. We used our get out off jail card last week so i think we shall be on it from the get go tbis week 52-38 to the stripes. TheScotsman
Should be a stroll in the park for the Tiggers. If not, questions should be asked.
Paulco
Should be a stroll in the park for the Tiggers. If not, questions should be asked. First real test of both clubs' title credentials . Being at home puts that wee bit more pressure on us . Looking at it from last week's meeting , Workington had a big hitter and a high scoring reserve . Had they another quality heat leader , they would have won . Edinburgh tick those boxes . Our lower order had their worst meeting , collectively , against Workington . So more is needed there . It's a fascinating prospect , with supporters of both sides trying to play down their team's chances - but kidding nobody . Are Edinburgh capable of coming to Ashfield and winning ? Yes they look as if they are . Are Glasgow capable of inflicting a first defeat on Edinburgh ( apologies Sheffield ) , of course we are . I for one , can't wait .
MD
Summers/Worrall against Masters/Wells should be superb. Thats what we pay the money for. Outwith the top end we need to batter them in the middle order. Erik Riss doesnt seem to like close quarter racing and Max Clegg is last years underperforming reserve nobody thought would be back. We'll have to take points here as Mark Riss is a trump card at reserve. He impressed me last season and not just cos he refused to yield to Masters in one heat. My only prediction is Clegg wont be in ht14. Edited April 28, 2017 by MD
Bagpuss
With Riss at reserve and their heatleader power Edinburgh can win anywhere, not sure why some of their fans are downplaying their chances so much.

Because that's what they do , then they come on here feigning surprise and ejaculating about how wonderful they are . Hopefully we can avoid all that nonsense by pumping them tomorrow night . TheScotsman
Why would cleggy not be in heat 14?
Gazc
Work it out for yourself he will have had his 3 rides before Heat 14 , he is riding crap & and Riss will replace him. Unless off course Davey is just as crap and Riss replaces both off them.
baba
I reckon Pickering will like ashfield shape and score more than a few.
Fenway Bleachers
hope you are right, though he might take a few heats to get up to speed, that has been his M.O so far Think Clegg will be in heat 14, JDC quite creative as manager. Davey will be in 2, 4 and one other (possibly 10, for Clegg. Max in 3, 7 and 14. , both get 3 rides only, with Mark hoovering up the rest. This assumes usual form, and no injuries, so a complete guess. Unless our heatleaders keep us in the game it will be academic......
