Paulco
So it's almost upon us , the first derby of the season . No other meeting in British speedway yields as much passion as this does . Both teams are in relatively decent form , our three big guns are performing admirably , while the youngsters need to up their game from last weekend . This will be a tough examination . The Forces of Darkness have yet to suffer defeat , albeit they've only raced the weaker sides , and one of those severely depleted . They are led once again by the smiling , whinging Aussie , Sam Masters ( oh how you wish they'd sign Josh Bates for heat ones ) and the ever popular ( well he used to be ) Ricky Wells . The Riss brothers have started the season really well , and no doubt the Chuckle Brothers will be examining all options to keep Mark Riss at reserve till at least September . They have a new young Aussie , who seems to be better than last season's new young Aussie . And they have the most experienced two pointer in the league and Cleggy . So we'll have to be on it right from the start and lets see if we can show these Monarchs who's boss this season .

Fenway Bleachers
tiggers to win this and Monarchs might just get a point if Riss scores heavily from reserve. Hopefully decent weather good track prep and suitable banter on the terraces. Who knows, we may get more inflammatory leaflets dished out at the end, with good grammar and correct punctuation. The Scottish derbies are back !!

SharpenRake
Edinburgh to win by 10 unfortunately I share your pessimism particularly if Dan's no.1 bike was damaged as reported on one of the forums last night. Also hope he's ok after his 3 falls

Cj69
Get my ladder. Climb to the top of the fence. call a 45-45 draw. Glasgow favorites but bottom 3 struggled for points recently. Edin riders wee bit inconsistent (thankfully not at the same time) need Davey and clegg to get a few points each. Nice weather and good racing with some light hearted banter thrown in. Is that too much to ask?
Dekker
Glasgow by 5-10pts track to be as either bald as ducks arse or knee deep depending on how Dickson feels getting out of bed.
Speedball
Really looking forward to this. My first visit to Ashfield and can't think of a better meeting to see. Â A last heat decider would suit me just fine. Â Can you move freely around the stadium? I like to watching racing at different points until I find somewhere I like best. Also, where's the bar with the shortest queue?

Also, where's the bar with the shortest queue? I'd say avoid the main bar in the Tigers Den (as you go in) and walk up past the start line to Bend 4 where there is a bar at the covered enclosure. Tends to be OK. The back straight has a bar now but would imagine it'll be busy as well.Glasgows a great place for walking round as there seems to be a ton of places to stop and watch. Â 48-42 Â The doommerchants are wrong. Expecting a good show from Nike and a few more points from Dan and Tom.
Gazc
Just avoid eye contact!!This only applies if standing were the Edinburgh spoon burners have congregated. But as we know this is not entirely true as Glaswegians are famed for our friendly nature and welcoming banter.  On the other hand the Edinburgh division are known for well not a lot really.
