Rob B
Yep, really feel for the Somerset fans travelling north for that start time, would not like it if me and other Belle Vue fans had to travel to Somerset for a twelve noon start to a meeting there, only can put it down to the fact that there are meetings elsewhere with Rye, Leicester, Wolves and Kings Lynn also racing at earlier times as well, may have something to do also with the Swedish season also starting this week, and riders having to get to Sweden for that. Belle Vue to win, possible by 16pts. Why could they not have held the Belle Vue Colts meeting with Mildenhall, held on Friday, following this fixture instead of opening the stadium twice in three days, surely the fixture planners for the National League could have built this fixture in when they knew the original dates for the Premiership. If I was a Somerset fan I'd love this start time! As a BV fan that goes to most away meetings, I'd love to set off early on a Bank Holiday and be home for about 6pm rather then 2am with work the next day! Reason for the early start time is it is stock cars next door starting at 3.30, council won't allow both to run at same time, would be chaos parking etc.
Knowle
Somerset intended to run a coach but lack of interest. Not suprised
Aces51
I think i'll give this one a miss . Yet again great promotional skills from the sports governing body 12 of the 14 expected riders will be there and we know from the Peter Craven meeting and the match against Leicester that a field with not as many top riders as we might hope for can still produce good racing at the NSS. I shall certainly be there. I am sure it will be a good meeting and after the worries of last winter we need to be supporting the club to ensure, as best we can, that our new owners can see it is going to be commercially viable.

Cliffeboy
Good luck to the Rebels today against most people's tip for the title. Safe journey to the hardy souls making the trip on a bank holiday. 😳
mikebv
I do support the club as best i can ? Really WG? A true fan would be there today regardless of the Mickey Mouse situation caused by yet more administrative nonsense... It's all about four riders going round don't forget, it isn't important for the sport to have any integrity or credibility. A true fan would realise this too... You get great racing at the NSS regardless of who the riders are, and what standard they may be, so everyone should be very pleased with that and ignore the names in the programme. Who they are and what team or division they are from isn't relevant... Never forget also, true fans know that these riders only do it for our entertainment so therefore we should be expected to pay top dollar regardless of riders there, in fact true fans would happily pay double to watch any Speedway regardless of standard.. Remember if you don't attend, Speedway will cease to exist and that would destroy people's lives (or something like that), and even by saying why your not attending on here will mean thousands now won't attend todays match.. FFS don't put any weather forecasts out as well WG.... (Unless of course it says, 'its dead sunny in Longsight' or 'its lovely here in Ardwick').. Remember, it's not those who run the sports' responsibility to provide a 'Professional' sport worthy of the phrase, it's simply down to YOU to attend any old bullshine they serve up... And be bloody grateful about it too I might add!!.... If people don't like what is being offered up then they simply should just stay away, (and join the many tens of thousands in Britain who have already done this).. Now, as a true fan I am off to the track... Hang on, is that a large dark cloud I see over Mcvities on the A6?... 😁 Edited May 1, 2017 by mikebv

coldace
Well said mikebv. Never understood the need of the negative ones to try to influence those who don't agree with them. I'm off to the track now and expect a good match.
Aces51
I do support the club as best i can ? That's fine, that's all any of us can do. I read your original post to mean you had made a decision not to attend because Bjerre and Hougaard are absent. Apologies if I misunderstood.

Perhaps finances play a part in me missing a few meetings ? Perhaps all these missed meetings will contribute to me being omitted from the Aces 'super fan' group ? But as i say , i support the club the best i can thanks for the advice anyway , Edited May 1, 2017 by WestGorton1884

A ORLOV
Looks like Rohan has come to the party at last. He was nearly got rid of at Swindon but he turned his season around and was very good for the rest of the season.
