Belle Vue V Somerset - 1/5/17 , 12pm

If only all tracks could get in proper red shale and stay away from the wet stuff we'd all be ok..[/quote

Hyde Road had grey shale didn't it? Certainly the Shay did.

I wouldn't know. But Red shale binds by far the best nowadays. The part problem with poole is we seem to taking Manchesters allocation of rain nowadays,

We need a good few race days with no rain, its almost getting stupid.

Some great racing in a fantastic stadium, a pleasure to watch Speedway in such a modern stadium , if only all tracks were like this!!

Tun gate was superb , his races with Cook were worth the admission alone.

Well done Somerset.

I heard that Rohans form could have been because of new engines. As a matter of interest has he

bought these new ones from a different tuner.

Just researched what could be some depressing news for the next visit of the rebels to belle vue on sat the 5th of aug.the 3rd round of the sec finals are on the same date so with Hougaard already out of the comp if Bjerre goes on to qualify for the finals the rebs will be at full strength and belle vue will have to use a nat league rider again which will totally ruin what should have been a much anticipated return match with both teams at full strength.Hope they have the sense to rearrange the meeting if Bjerre gets through.

You won't have Craig Cook either as Workington are riding that night.

Is the match rearranged then? Because otherwise Belle Vue should have priority.

Workington get priority. He's owned by a championship club so when there is a clash he rides for Workington

Well if the match can't be rescheduled I hope the R Tungate of last night is the one that turns up next time at the NSS.

New for this year...,

a) The Original Fixture if there is a clash with a re-arranged Fixture

B) 1st priority to the owner of the rider

c) 2nd priority to the previous season club

d) 3rd priority to the league in which the owner club is a member.

Yep that's right that's why i questioned the poster that said he would be riding at Workington.

Plus i do not understand why we are riding on Sat the 5th of August if Bjerre gets through to the SEC finals

The following Friday(our normal race night) non of the three clubs are riding so could they have not arranged the fixture for then as we would have a full strength team and Workington would not have Cookie missing a match.

After last weeks result i would think that two full strenght teams would attract a large crowd but if Bjerre is missing again with a Nat league guest in his place and the Rebels even stronger with Hougaard it could keep a lot of fans away.

No Bjerre or Cook, Somerset would be foolish to allow this one to be changed now. Just more poor fixture planning as a situation like that should never occur.
