tellboy
It is a joke, why arrange a fixture when your main reserve is missing and you are not able to have a facility for him. Also the management obviously knew a while ago about Kai not being there so why not announce it when known.Same with Cook at Somerset last night,Dale said he asked him straight after the Lynn meeting 9 days ago so why not announce it then. Why is everything all hush hush in speedway.Give the supporters a bit of time to make up their minds whether they want to attend the meetings or not bother.
kelvinht
Not sure it weakens us that much. Would be surprised if Kai scored more than the odd couple of points round monmore...hardly known for its wide open spaces that Kai seems to prefer
Gemini
I remember being on a supporters min-bus to King's Lynn in the early 70's. My god that was a tortuous journey with the A47 (Hinckley, Leicester, King's Lynn) route. Over time the road has been straightened, and also had the A14 added to help matters. What time you setting out ? You would understand why I hate the journey to Peterborough then and that's only half way to Kings Lynn. It's even worse because I have to get across one side of Leicester to the other before picking up the dreaded A47.

BWitcher
No Kai Huckenbeck for the Stars, riding in Germany. Daniel Halsey guests!! Big advantage for Kings Lynn. Halsey much more used to the tighter tracks. Have to say, with a former World Champion in their team, track specialists in Lambert and Batchelor and now this change, an away win has to be on the cards. Taken from the book Speedway Psychology by Steve Shovlar. Edited April 29, 2017 by BWitcher
mrss
If you think having Dan Halsey in the team makes the Stars stronger you are sadly mistaken. Halsey is useless it will be a miracle if he finishes his rides . Terrible choice of guest by the Stars.

g13webb
Having been more times than I care to remember, I must say its not one of my favorite tracks, A long tiresome journey, always with plenty Monday tea time traffic, All the supporters cramped along the starting straight, A track that gives a massive home advantage, and some of the rudest supporters you would imagine. My only crime was being 1 of only 4 Lynn supporters surrounded by masses of Black and Gold, and us wearing a Lynn jacket, but it was enough to be the victim of finger pointing and banter every time we lost a race... It wasn't that funny and because of the numbers, it felt quite intimidating... One Wolves official came up to us and gave us all pit passes to escape the banter we were getting. We spent the rest of the evening viewing from the pits..... The best part of going to the Monmore is the wonderful Meat Pie and chips,,,,,,
mrss
One day to go before away meeting at Wolves and not a mention of it on the Stars website. Then they wonder why people are fed up with speedway.

We are some the of the politest fans in the country, in my experience.
Aces51
I have made numerous visits to Wolverhampton over many years and have only once been faced with a group of abusive fans and that was about 10 years ago. Normally, you can have a bit of friendly chat and banter. Every team has its share of idiot fans. I find that if you are unfortunate enough to find yourself by them just move and stand somewhere else. Unfortunately, like many teams these days, my recent experience of Monmore Green is that there were plenty of gaps in the crowd on the home straight terraces so moving wouldn't be a problem.
superguest
Sure RooBoy will be up for this one. Looks like Mark Riss is in the form of his life (top scored at Glasgow on Fri for Edinburgh). The rest of the team are riding to or above (Howarth) expectation. Shame Kai Hukenbeck isnt there. Saw him at Rye House for an under 21 meeting a few years back and he looked pretty exciting then. Sure Lambert will be in the mix, but Lynn will need Holder & Batchelor to step up.

I've had the odd unpleasant experience at other circuits, but I'm aware those 'supporters' are not remotely representative of their clubs' backing as a whole. Personally I enjoy mixing with fans of other sides, you get fresh faces to talk to between the races plus a different perspective on the match.
INCOGNITO
KINGS LYNN ROCKED BY NEWS Kings Lynn travel to Monmore Green on Bank Holiday Monday and were looking at this fixture as a possible victory against the defending champions who look strong on their home circuit, especially since they have added Schlein and Riss. However the Stars management were rocked by the news coming in from Poland where 2012 World Champion was booked to appear for his usual Torun team against Wroclaw. Sadly for the Anglian outfit, Chris Holder has not caught a cold or damaged a finger nail and unfortunately for them he WILL be in the starting line up at his favourite track. I'm sure all Wolves fans will be glad to see him there on Monday where he has been very fast in previous visits, mainly out of the car park and heading for home.
