Beowulf
On the face of it a home win. We beat Belle Vue last week by 6 points, they are going well having now won at Swindon and King's Lynn. We did this with a second string scoring zero and having weak reserves. Since then we have replaced Skornicki and Clegg with Schlein and Riss, which seems to be a big improvement. However.....................................................the Rockets are full of track specialists. Commenting about Harrris and Nicholls signing for Rye House CVS said " At least I still have my 2 favourite guests available to me". On top of that Robson has been a particular thorn in our sides when riding for Coventry and Kennett has had his moments at Monmore. Plus there is someone called Ricky Wells lining up for the opposition ! And the Rye reserves will probably outscore the Wolves reserves. As of now I would take 46-44.
stevebrum
It's got 'a cracker of a meeting' all over it. I'm finding it hard to call it but will however with 48-42.

Shadders
Hard to call any meeting so far this year. Even individual races I've seen in this league have been like that. Wasn't sure whether I was going to enjoy being in the top league, but so far I'm loving it.

Shadders
For once, something nice to hear. I'll admit I was the one of those who said PL racing was better than EL, but now it's been dumbed down slightly I've gotta call it as I see it. I was genuinely hard pressed to pick a winner in each race tonight.
mikec
Should be an exciting meeting, think BBC Radio WM are covering it live too. Will definitely be tuning in. 49-41 Wolves I reckon.

westhamboy66
Was looking forward to this always enjoy my visits to Monmore but the weather looks a bit depressing and having already wasted time and money for the rain off at Lynn on Good Friday I'm not sure I'll risk it. On the face of it it should be reasonably close and I think we would be disappointed to leave without a point. Rory Schlein coming in may just be the difference but will be interesting to see how Ricky Wells goes after a pretty encouraging start for Rye last night against Poole
hammer1969
I'm thinking of coming up from Rye for this meeting but it's going to be weather permitting so I'll decide Monday morning. It's been a while since i've been to Wolverhampton and would like a bit of advice, what's the parking like, what time do the gates open and do I need to bring a chair or is there plenty of seating and is there a particular area where the away fans sit (although I don't mind sitting with Wolves fans as well as all us speedway supporters are a friendly bunch ) any help greatly appreciated, thanks. There is seating in the lower grandstand, but you will have to be there pretty early to get one. It is set up for the greyhounds, so you are sitting sideways as in a booth. There is a fast food outlet at one end of the lower grandstand with tea/coffee etc. With regard to the car park, there is plenty of space, but it does get full later on. I would recommend parking in the main car park, as there are stewards patrolling it, and I would not advise parking in the adjoining streets, as it is mainly industrial and problems have been known in the past. The car park is free. With regard to the chair, I presume that will be no problem to take it into the stadium. However I'm not sure how much use you will be able to get out of it, there is no grassy bank, a la Peterborough, from which to view the racing. Unfortunately Monmore Green for quite a while now only has fan access to the 4th bend and the home straight. This was due to stadium changes that the speedway club had no influence on. Therefore for the length of the home straight and 4th bend it is terracing and everyone stands. A portion of the 4th bend may be unterraced but the view is probably not great. As you come through the turnstile going to the first bend there is a burger van, ice cream van and souvenir stand.

MrMungo
Reckon Clegg will be really up for this one, so could prove to be an astute guest choice. Has the makings of a great match.
