Guest
The latest edition of 'The Voice' carries an interesting article on the years when Japan has 'real' speedway as we know it rater than the betting version that now takes place there. Titled 'A Sideways Slant' part one - VJKing, it mentions an early 1930s tour by an American team led by the legendary Putt Mossman. It also mentions that one of the riders was '...Mexican start Manuel Trujillo...' A good publicity angle but actually Trujillo was an Amerrican, having been born in Texas. The article is over six pages, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I do recommend BSF members to get a copy of the latest edition (see OP for details). I don't think they will regret getting a copy. :::: Manuel Trujillo, USA, also rode in UK, Australia, New Zealand and other countries, 1934-1952.
