Rising Crowds This Season?

IMO an interesting comparison in regard to current attendances and previous attendances would be for Lakeside Hammers.

How do the crowds for the National League racing now taking place compare with the previous senior grade racing that took place there?

I realise that it is only possible to make a 'guesstimate' in regard to attendances but I would be interested in such for Belle Vue.

What is the difference in attendance for the SGB Premiership Speedway League matches and the National League racing?

Where it is possible to make a comparison with the 2016 season, what has the trend been?

King's Lynn V Swindon looked a little bit up last night - my considered guesstimate is 1,200 to 1,500 max. In perfect weather but with a starting sun break until 8.10 pm ( after a first race "trial" at 7.45 pm ). Racing OKish -when Robert Lambert was chasing very hard and likely to pass but 9 races were tapes to flag processions after exiting the 2nd bend.

That's an encouraging Post in regard to the attendance at King's Lynn (v Swindon). Let's hope we have similar indications from other tracks - the weather is in an excellent spell at the moment and hopefully will entice more people out of the house to make a visit to their local track?

I would guess there was about 8-900 at Ipswich last night (vs Newcastle). Hard to tell from where I was (in the Grandstand on the backstraight) how many were sitting in said stand.

Why is it called a "stand" when you sit down in it? I've never worked that one out!
