California Dreaming

I have on my files a lengthy article under this title but have no idea now who sent it to me. It deals with the compete history of the old California-in-England speedway, from pre-war days when it was known as Longmoor and among the riders were Lloyd Goffe and Jim Boyd.

It deals through until speedway ceased at the track in the late 1950s.

I must have had this most interesting work in my possession for at least 10 years!

If any BSF member can lay claim to this work, could they please contact via a PM rather than Post a reply message here please.

I have had a message suggesting that this article could have been featured on the Reading website some years ago. The problem now is that I cannot seem to find that website.

This Link reviews the book "Tears and Glory" by Arnie Gibbons followings its publication in 2008:

Here's another Link that's worth referring to although you may have Paste the Link into your browser:

www.reading speedway.com

More information in regard to buying a copy of the book is to send a BSF PM to Arnie Gibbons at
