topaz325
After a good league start against Sheffield last week the Comets are on the hunt for more points against the Scorpions, will it be Love at first sting or a Blackout?
IronScorpion
Guests are hard to come by on a Saturday but a quick look could give us a choice of a few guests for Wallner if money will allow. D Greenwood started well for Cradley, Bewley as we know what he can do & a fellow 4 pointer, guesting for Sheffield in M Riss. Knowing our quality of guests before, we will probably get someone similar to Campos again.
Fozzie4388
Mitchell Davey is guesting according to Workington's site
ScunnyDan
Hoping the Scorpions can salvage a point out of this meeting, hopefully Robs made a good choice in guest in Mitch Davey.

scunny1
Our only chance is a rain off with no recognised reserves.
IronScorpion
just posted on Ippo v P/boro late start, 1 heat in 25 minutes after meeting started & this is just as bad. 5 heats in 55 minutes. Presentation driving fans away is what is being talked about on forum. Slickness required.
scunny1
A massive performance from MPT and the others chipping in to gain an unexpected point-well done.
Guest Scunny2012
Great and unexpected bonus point by Scunny, if only Josh Auty could score more on away tracks it could have been more

His performance was on a par with the rest of the team barring MPT.
comet49
Good point for Scunthorpe, Roynon disappointing tonight, wonder if Cook thought Campton was still with him when the excellent Palm Toft passed him. Need to be better next week in KO Cup against Newcastle. Edited April 15, 2017 by comet49
IronScorpion
From the updates site, it looked like a team effort, filling in the minor places & a rider having an excellent meeting. Â Well done the Scorpions on getting a totally, unexpected point.

Well done the Scorpions on getting a totally, unexpected point. im not a scorpian fan but just saying nise to see someone who looks down the list and gives credit to the ones scoring 3 or 4 points towards a result far too many judge a TEAM by how many riders score max or paid max's scunthorpe looked poor in the first 2 or 3 heats but adapted better than workington did to the very slick/dusty track they earned there point and at 1 period looked like they were in with a chance of actually turning it into a win Edited April 16, 2017 by scarra
GM
Decent meeting spoiled by the wind. The track staff had no chance I seen them watering the track as late as 6.40 but there was dust first heat because of the drying wind. Riders just settling in yet Mason sorted his mechanical problems out and got a great score Adam for me is the one that's struggling we know how poor his away form can be but to ride like that at home is unacceptable which his experience around Workington. I've not been impressed with Adam no new equipment by the looks of it and it was not fast enough last season at least Mason has invested in equipment and the rewards showed last night just need him to keep it up now. scaramanga
ive also wondered if adams not been able to invest in new gear it is hard when your not scoring the points and maybe not much sponsership and also remember adam has a young baby to support its catch 22 cant invest without money and cant improve/be competative without investing in new gear
