Redcar V Peterborough - Koc - 13/4/17

Recommended Posts

Well got home and read the thread and see it's all got a bit nasty. No need.

Well done to Peterborough deserved to go through, the Bears never recovered from a poor start and , sadly, were carrying a few passengers.

The replacement of Busch with Garcia has weakened us, as Garcia is way off the pace at the moment (think he's scored 8 or 9 lasts in a row at Redcar) and it's a shame we never got the chance to see the full original 1-7 in at least one home meeting.

Needed Hall to step up tonight but the opposite was true and he was very poor.

Panthers were very solid with Starke, UO and Holder having good rides. Lunna was good too so BWD wasn't missed that much.

For the Bears Barker was the star man with Garrity and Wright not quite capable of recreating their form of earlier weeks.

A few cracking races though and Heat 15 was fantastic.

Glad it wasn't a league meeting !

(PS anyone know the official reason why Bukhave wasn't drafted in instead of Garcia? (Asking for a friend ;) )

Busch shouldn't have even been in the rerun after wiping Ulrich out. They conviniently forget that bit.

Redcar are crap and if they think Busch is the difference between the two teams then they must be mad.

Firstly, congratulations to the Panthers. Started off the meeting very well which killed the tie off and we never really recovered.

Busch would have at least made it interesting however, replacing a man with a 7 point home average with someone who failed to score would certainly make a massive difference. And I would argue (after at least 2 years of watching utter crap) we are far from crap this season. Perks and Busch would have made this at least much closer on aggregate, and i would imagine BWD would not have out scored Lunna.

For the Bears, Barker was a different class. His heat 11 race with Holder was something else ,and followed it up with excellent rides in 13 and 15. On that form, him and Garrity are worth a bet in the Pairs. Big disappointment is Richard Hall. Was the time for him to step up but a really poor performance. Personally, would be looking to see who else is out there already. Garcia also way off the pace, but thought Bailey actually did ok.

Very impressed with Starke for the Panthers, looked very quick indeed. Ulrich put his usual good performance in and Lunna again went well.

Pick ourselves up and go to Scunthorpe and look to pick up some points.

Cracking effort by the headball oystercard to win the tie by wiping out Busch like he did to Bjerre last year the bloke`s a liability and that cnut johnson can *u*k right off ,

Grow up mate, it's only a speedway meeting.

Garcia scores 0.....

Wonder what British riders Jacobs or Nielsen ( both out of work) would have got?

I originally thought they did but just checked and Busch is 4.66 not 5.?? that the 2 brits are 😔

nah not really - credit where its due 👍

No doubt you'll be trying on Saturday to avenge the hammering you took tonight at Sheffield and I expect Panthers are going to be on the wrong end of a backlash , yes Saturday is going to be a lot harder than what Redcar had to offer.

if Danny is out that will even things up a lot....

So what are Danny's injuries just bruising or is it more serious than that.

No news to add from me on that score Im afraid. Just concerned speculation. 😔

I did say that Bukhave and Etheridge would of been better bets and both rode for the team last year, also why is all the Redcar fans having a pop at Hally? He scored his average against a very strong opposition number 6.

Think we are "having a pop" because we saw how he rode tonight.
