ruffdiamond
The nearest track is too far away its at least a double ride on a double decker, that only has double seats and travel time would double, hehe Edited April 13, 2017 by ruffdiamond

Daniel Smith
The 'excuse' being, that the nearest track is over 100 miles away. TWK is a fan of Belle Vue. What better chance to see some racing at the NSS without the fear of the black & white

No tactical rides in the ko cup or playoffs. ...as I said it's been tried before and if I recall the R/R/R was also dispensed with. Speedway seems to go round in circles re-introducing old initiatives that didn't succeed previously for various reasons. Blimey there'll be talk of banning guest riders next! steve roberts
Just because something was tried once and failed doesn't mean it'll fail again. Completely different eras so worth another punt I seem to recall that the main reason it was aborted was that some meetings became very one sided, and therefore boring to some, and there wasn't an opportunity to pull those points back by introducing a tactical. One part of being a fan was trying to pre-empt the Team Manager's next move and that essence became obsolete during that short trial period. Over the years the BSPA has tried all sorts of initiatives such as different heat and race formula, different numbering, six lap races etc but at the end of the day all the average fan wants to see is competitive racing on well prepared tracks with easy to follow rules that are consistent within each league...which hadn't always been the case (different number of heats for example) making it confusing to the average fan. WalterPlinge
This is hardly news. There were no Tactical Rides in the NL last year either.
The White Knight
This is hardly news. There were no Tactical Rides in the NL last year either. It was only someone trying to help me out. It was very kind of them. It isn't Trees fault that I live far too far from any National League Track. Had there been a Track somewhere much nearer I would have gone to watch. Thank you Trees. martinmauger
I first thought this thread was in reference to a recent match at Redcar where TWK's beloved Sunderland took on (presumably the local team) in an NJL challenge. Wonder if he made there it to watch ? Not 'Extracting The Michael' at all, roughly this time last year the mighty Hull Vikings competed in a 4TT at Scunny (v Scunny, Buxton & Halifax) as the 'main event' after the 'warm up races' (Scunny v Sheffield PL) and I can confirm any sport means WAY more when one's one team in competing. So far no sign of any other Hull matches taking place, but fingers crossed. Speaking personally, I will get to watch some speedway this season, it's a still a (THE) sport I enjoy immensely but / would defo make more effort making the time if a Hull team were riding, here's hoping ....

Any time TWK 😊 Your poor nose is getting so short, like mine lol I'd like them to do away with any tacticals but allow change of gate positions whenever a team is 6 down, see how that works ....
