TeamGB have picked the strongest line up they can from the riders that want to represent their country.

A question about the selected countries? Who come they have choosen Germany over USA. PL, DK, SE, AU and GB are the five biggest speedway countries (in m opinion) and Russia will probably have good chance here but why as I said earlier Germany over USA? I would guess that Hancock together with some other americans could get more points then Smolinski and some other german could. And wouldnt including the US be more in the "Olympic Spirit" with more parts of the world represented? Three continents instead of two?

Hancock? You assume he'd turn up. He only cares about himself.

Not sure about App & Website I think a lot will depend if the tv rights are brought in the UK as they were offering it as exclusive rights.

The problem with the coatings is that the people selling the rights do not have experience or the correct value of Speedway not just in the U.K. but worldwide so have been asking the sort of money a broadcaster would look to pay for say a Premiership football match

The last time speedway was in the World Games ITV covered it in World of Sport which shows how long ago it was.....

Watched a bit of the 'proper' World Games.Yesterday some womens frisbee sort of football and now watching a bit of some sort f larger volleyball with more players and a bigger field. Not very well supported.Even less than yesterdays world U21 final,so hope the speedway will be a bit of a boost for the tournament

Start time is 6pm UK time on Saturday

Correct but the Speedway is not due to shown live on the Sport1/Sport1+ TV schedule.

From what I can find it's only due to be shown on a delayed feed online on Sunday 2am uk time

I was giving you the meeting start time- nothing else . As my previous post says Polish streams will be available to watch it live- exactly the same as we watch 4 Polish matches every weekend.

Danny King on his way in place of Cook

Got the call just before tonights meeting was about to start

What's Cook done to get injured? He didn't look injured in Cardiff. He just can't face his Polish demons can he? Or is this a repeat of his "I can't afford to drive to Ipswich" excuse when he dipped out of the GB team in the test match against Australia, some years ago?
