But but but - Berwick could do better than folk seem to expect.

Bridger should cope fine there.

Vissing rode for us fairly recently.

Doolan always goes well there.

Carr rode there all the time fairly recently.

And Cleggy has not got started this season.

Mitch his working his way back into it.

So maybe not a big home win after all?

Relay what is said above, a real shame for Ryan Blacklock. Only got to see him in Berwick colours for a couple of matches, but what I saw I liked, a real 100% effort trier, who it's so easy to get behind, you want your team to be full of characters like this.

As for the meeting on Friday, Bridger should score well, Doolan and to a lesser extent Vissing will take points off the second strings and reserves, any other points are a bonus. 60-33.

Ever since September 2010 all we have cared about is getting seven riders out of Armadale in one piece.

That's not really fair, riders get hurt on all types of tracks (all shapes and levels of preparation) in all kind of different ways and that was pre air fence. It is terrible to say but accidents and rider injury is unfortunately a nasty downside of our sport but Armadale is not worse than anywhere else.

To kind of prove the point as a home fan all we want is a team to turn up with all 7 of their own riders. Unfortunately for young Ryan Blacklock that won't happen this week, speedy recovery to the young lad.

As for the meeting I do expect the Monarchs to win comfortably, Doolan, Vissing and Bridger are all capable of challenging the top Monarchs so it is not a foregone conclusion and should get some good races. We still have a few gremlins to work out as guys settle in to the season and another chance for likes of Max and Mitch to really get started.
