BluPanther
Foxhall has never been a great track for racing, and it was always going to be a comfy home win against this Panthers team. Hopefully it will be more entertaining on Monday...
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Given that the showground has been prepared like a ploughed potato field on number of ocassions over the years it is quite ironic....

And most of the time our riders hate it! Lol
2ndbendbeerhut
Their has been a lot of comments this year on a lot of threads about the preparation and dirt on tracks and them being prepared for racing as opposed to processions after the first bend, your track was dreadful last although admittedly your team rode it a lot better than mine. If tracks are not going to be prepared so riders can actually race on them what is the point, If your riders had been able to stay on their bikes and when they did, were able to ride with effort for 4 laps then maybe the fans would have seen a competitive meeting!? Arch Stanton
https://twitter.com/gregkingston/status/853348387046993922 Cracking aerial views of Foxhall last night. Car park looks packed which is surprising considering it was a "poor crowd" for an easter meeting. Super Blue
There we certainly a half decent crowd there last night, admittedly partially swelled by a some pussycat fans and probably not quite as many as the traditional Good Friday afternoon meetings but a hell of a lot more than Thursday evenings produce. The track looked a tad greasy to us on the back straight but apparently there were no complaints from the riders (well not Ipswich ones anyway) At least we have something of an outside line this year as Cam and Danny proved, a line that's been missing for a large number of years at Foxhall. Baldyman
Can anyone explain what happened to Ostergaard in one race. He got to the first bend first, then put his arms up and everyone went past

More confusing was when Ully dropped it when infront of king and BWD went into him.

Hands up from me I dont have the patience ☺

Arch Stanton
"Nothing Steve. Grippy at teams request. I was just disappointed that the Peterborough boys threw the towel in so easy! Not good for fans!" Tweet from Chris Louis this afternoon in response to the question what was wrong with the track. Flappy
Well done Simon lambert on your apology. Doesn't that make it worse? Admitting that he didn't give 100% because he doesn't like the track

Crump99
Thought Panthers preferred grippy? You're thinking of the fans. Everyone else likes a slick one liner.
Haza
Think Panthers fans should remember Simon Lambert is at best a reserve on a over inflated average - he is what he is he's gone as far as he's ever going to go in the sport. He's a big track rider always has been

He's a big track rider always has been We remember that...... the fact he put absolutely no effort into Saturday night barring his first heat, getting to the first corner then letting everyone go into the distance then pull off after a couple laps is what's annoying everyone. You don't mind a rider running a last if there busting a bollock for it!
Steve Irving
Well that's my first visit since the track alterations and if that's the usual foxhall track you really shouldn't have bothered, it was clear early on that the first and second bends were dreadful and with falls in nearly every heat it extended the agony for well over two hours. The witches got stuck in and made the best of it while it has to be said most of the Panthers didn't, Starke was unlucky when Bacon fell in front of him and was clearly unable to carry on and from heat 4 onwards it was pretty much one way traffic, genuine overtakes were rare whilst the racing was non existent. Lambert was an absolute disgrace and although it took Bacon 4 races to actually finish a race upright he did improve, unfortunately the racing didn't. I and several others with me thought the crowd was poor for an Easter meeting but if that's the usual fare it's not surprising. With major road works ongoing around the A14 for the next few years it might be a while before I go to Ipswich again, that will certainly be my only visit this year. The only people to blame for any lack of entertainment were the majority of the Peterborough riders. When you first got there, did you look at the track and immediately think "this is far too grippy and won't produce good racing"? I'd be surprised if you did. Yes the track was grippy and when I saw the track upon entering the stadium I was delighted at what I saw and was expecting a good meeting. What I wasn't expecting though was to see most of the away side wimping out and not even bother trying! Absolutely disgraceful and so are the subsequent comments from the Peterborough management who I can only think must be trying to deflect the deserved criticism away from their riders. The track was a racers track and was there to be raced, for those that were actually prepared to attack it and race! Perhaps the Peterborough riders would have been far more happier at Sheffield on Thursday. That was an even worse meeting I promise you for totally opposite reasons. No matter how hard the riders were trying, if you didn't make the jump you were going nowhere fast. This is part of the problem these days, the tracks by and large with a minority of exceptions, are not prepared for racing due to the request of over pampered riders who seem to prefer a slick easy to ride billiard table to ride on. This is what they've become used to and IMO it's wrong. The fans are the most important aspect here. If the fans aren't there the riders won't have a job that's the bottom line. Tracks should be prepared for entertainment and the fans, not the riders. As has been said,Cameron Heeps' attitude was spot on. He opened the throttle, chased the dirt on the outside and was always making ground on those in front of him. He made some terrific passes. As for Rathbones sly dig in his press release, he too should be ashamed of himself. He should have been praising the efforts of the people at Ipswich for producing a race track fit for good racing, and then apologising to everybody who attended for his teams abysmal "effort" in doing any racing at all!!!
