SteveLyric2
Tbh Holder is gone to KL because he said a few things out loud about Poole and him and Ford didn't see eye to eye, course you have to be like a lap dog and praise all Fords doings or your out. Darcy is just an arsehole always has been only sweet on Poole because of all the money being chucked at him. If only that were the whole truth.............?! You seem to know a lot and have a lot of opinions for a new poster - or is it just another alias? Sigh! Responding to the Darcy discussion: Darcy was THE best speedway rider I have had the privilege to watch on a speedway bike - and that includes the likes of Leigh Adams, Tony Rickardsson and Jason Crump to name just a few. No he wasn't a role model but he was still a young lad and his talent on a bike was second to none. i will always remember his talent over his off track antics. bruno
Saw him at Swindon against Poole I think it was just before he's accident and couldn't believe the lines he was taking and how wide he was going. Remember thinking at the time how special he was on a bike, tradgedy for speedway and the fans but obviously more for him

DW#43 He was Not at the time of his injury in the same league as Rickardsson or Crump, they were both amazing racers dedicated to the sport something Ward wasn't as he was too immature and still is now. DW#43 Um I use social media a lot so yes I do know a lot and have various opinions on all things Speedway. Darcy was a master on a Speedway bike no one is denying that but he was and still is a total pleb off of the bike, I attended that farce at Poole and still don't know what i going on with refunds. hyderd
Darcy Ward was an exceptional talent on a Speedway bike. I remember a topic on here about when will Darcy become World Champion, I posted, "never" simply because he doesn't know how to come second. Speedway lost a fantastic racer, yes he was a knob outside of Speedway but I prefer to remember him for the thrill and excitement he gave to ALL fans.

stevebrum
Darcy Ward is the best rider to grace Britain since 2010 TBH. Would have been a multiple world champ. Best bike rider ive ever seen. Could've, should've, would've. He didn't and it is never known if he would have. I doubt he had the temperament to do it. Which Tai proved is what you need. Talent alone simply isn't enough.

Hopefully he grows up soon too

You use social media a lot do you, Darcy may have done some silly things, but i think i know Darcy a lot better than you, Darcy could be a really nice lad but he was young and very impressionable. Im sure you was young many years ago. Darcy aside the money is now in a place i or i would expect you would not like to be in. Now if you have a problem with refunds for the meeting i would suggest you ring the speedway office on friday morning before 9am and talk to either Matt or Giles. Steve0
Tai let's his talking be done on the track, that's why he is a multi World Champion. Darcy just offered the talent and the ability. Too immature to have won IMHO. You are of course entitled to your opinion but I strongly disagree you. When he was injured, he was in the form of his life and when he returned to the SGPs I would fully expected him (and Tai) to be challenging for the crown. There is obviously no way of knowing what might have happened but I am pretty confident that he would end up with more titles than Tai - and that's my opinion (and I like them both).

Arthur54
The speedway world will never know how good Darcy could have been, I personally think he would have gone on to be on of the greatest riders ever, the things he did on a bike, you had to rub your eyes in disbelief
