Steve Shovlar
First league match of the season after a few warm up meetings for Poole as we head for Leicester on Saturday for the start of the serious stuff. Not a good hunting ground for Poole in the past and Saturday will be just as difficult. Would like to see three points for Poole but its not going to be easy. Leicester are stronger with the late team changes and this could go down to the wire. Thoughts?
CB252
No Bates or Riss for Lions, no Kerr for Poole. Massively in Poole's favour. Away four pointer or Matt will be sharpening the axe.

Tell a lie, Kerr is available it's Vue tomorrow he misses. That might even it up a bit.

So Leicester are missing a rider who scored 14 in his last home match and is British under 21 champion plus a second string who in the 5 races he has finished is unbeaten by an opponent and you think they are STRONGER without them!!!! And Poole are without a weak second string who can be replaced by a reserve who was a heat leader on the same track last season!!!! Even for you to say that Leicester are stronger is just daft!! Poole by 8 or otherwise could be a season fighting relegation unless changes are made

stevethelion
Bates & Riss missing will be massive blow to Lions, both have had excellent starts to the season. Guests for Riss might not be too bad, possibly Starke or Charles Wright, but different matter for Bates, especially has his average was amended down from 5.02 to 4.89 in the week, only obvious looking guests are ex-Lions Graversen or Hall, which means Klindt should have a very easy time at reserve, expect him to have at least 6 rides & he'll be disappointed if he doesn't get 13 or 14 points. If Poole don't win by at least 6-8 points i'll be most surprised.
Gavan
What second string are Poole without? Kerr is riding so it evens it up a bit. But Leicester without Bates and Riss is like Poole without Holder and Klindt. If that was the case im sure we would hear how much under strength Poole are. Poole are favourites for this as Leicester severeley weakened

The way Bates and Riss are going a massive blow to Leicester with a guest for Bates and r/r for Riss Surely they won't go R/R for Riss, that would only leave 2 weak reserves & Auty to take his 4 rides. stevethelion
Do the rules allow for a guest? I think so, we had 2 guests last week, one of which was for a second-string(Auty).

Dickie Head
So if Poole have to use RR for Kerr tonight at BV, I would have thought it will be RR for Riss tomorrow.
IronScorpion
Poole don't have to use r/r for Kerr but with him having a low average, Holder, Klindt x 2 or 3 & Shanes is the best option to take.
poole keith
no guests for 2,3,4,5.this yr only r/r i believe

stevethelion
Correct - unless the number 1 is also missing!! Why did Lions have guests for King(2nd in averages) & Auty(4th) , last week then & guest for Riss (5th) tonight at Somerset.?
