Gavan
Agree with that. He has started this season in the form of his life, no doubt about it. Impossible to catch if he gates and was passing for fun last night. But seen him vanish from meetings when given a back wheel by one of the opposition. Belle Vue last night were firing on all cylinders and their setups were all a couple of miles an hour fast than the Poole riders. Heat 13 the prime example when Fricke, Andersen and KK were wheel to wheel but Fricked just opened his throttle and walked slowly away from them during the race. No one will get close to bv at home, though when Poole do return in June we should have Newman back who enjoys the place and the team will have a better idea of setups. How on earth do you blame set ups?? What have none of the Poole boys rode their before?? Kurtz was there not long ago and was flying so he cant have any excuses. Didnt KK win heat one?? You telling me a rider of his experience then didnt know how to set the bike up?? Fricke was beaten by KK and Hans so how can you use the 'set up' excuse for heat 13???? Face facts Poole were poor and you were beaten by a better team.........nothing to do with set ups

So B Kurzt does not know what are the best set ups for the NSS, even though he was there scoring a credible 11 points including a win over K B last Saturday. You need to accept that this current Poole team are not as good as past Poole teams, yes you will/should win your home matches but unless changes are made (which we all know M F will do ) I think Poole will struggle to make the P/Off.s. Anyway, enough Poole knocking from me, I am to excited about this current B Vue team, yes we all know it's a weaker league but up hear in Manchester we now witness week in week out fantastic close racing, even when the scoreline suggests differently. Fantastic win from 1-7 Thanks for a great night lads.

Belle Vue must have got their set ups right on Wednesday, too, because without Bjerre's heat 15 EF they would have won there. For some, its very hard to stomach that their team was simply outclassed.
SteveLyric2
Well done to the Aces - much the better team in both legs. I don't expect this Poole side to do too much in the early season meetings while the averages are being sorted. As Starman correctly says so often - the League is not won until October and I think a Poole team will scrape into the play-offs when as we've seen before anything is possible. Aces51
So Belle Vue won because they now know the racing lines and best set ups for the NSS. A bit like every other home team then, it's called home track advantage. Poole had those advantages in the home leg and yet could manage only a lucky 2 point win. The truth is that this Poole team are mediocre, they will be stronger when Newman returns and hopefully KK will find form. I was impressed by Shanes despite his poor points return. Once again we were entertained by some brilliant racing. Craig Cook was majestic and was never challenged but the real highlight for me was our two reserves. Bewley was so smooth, so assured and so fast. His winning times were in line with all of the other races, his heat 2 win was faster than KK in heat 1. Smith was delighted to have beaten Andersen and deservedly so. Both these young English riders are great prospects and will benefit from riding in all 3 leagues. It's difficult to believe that Bewley hasn't yet ridden for one full season. Edited April 8, 2017 by Aces51

Gavan
Video of heat 7 from last night. http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.32025 What a great ride from young Bewley that was! Not sure what Kurtz was doing just hugging the fence. Gave Bewley the whole of the rest of the track he needed to be a bit more defensive. It isnt just about ridng high wide and fast. That race had nothing to do with set ups but just track craft........what a star Bewley will end up being

Sidney the robin
I have not been excited about a young English rider for a long long time maybe since Lee.What a ride that was against Kurtz i saw Bewley on Thursday he only scored three but he really impressed me Smith as well was on the pace and had a nice heat win.Going back to Poole this side is not good anough and changes are needed. Halifaxtiger
Bewley is just so unruffled its beyond belief. He really doesn't care who he is racing against, he just rides his own race. What is extraordinary is that two Speedy Star correspondents have picked the team with him in to finish bottom of the NL. Weeyin
Delighted to have Dan Bewley and Jack Smith at Glasgow this season, looking forward to see how they progress, Belle Vue is the team to watch in the premiership. I need to try and get down for a meeting there

Halifaxtiger
just a beautiful speedway track sure makes ours look pitiful. That's part of the sadness of it. Wimborne Road is a superb racing track, its just that for years its needed ripping up and re-laying. Its now so bad that even a track curator of Gerard Richter's quality can't do anything with it. Pooles track was redone last season. After the Darcy call off the trackstaff seem afraid to overwater it so it goes very slick after 6 heats.
