Starman2006
Agree, they look ok.BV looking great but its so early.I predicted a Poole side to win the league I'm my "Your prem winners 2017" thread.I predicted Poole because I know they will do all they can to win it,and I will stand by that..Hope not but it's my opinion. Trophies are not given out until October.. Long way to go..

scottyfan
Trophies are not given out until October.. Long way to go..The only trophy this rubbish Poole team will win is the wooden spoon!! They'll be in the relegation playoff come October!!!!Kasprzak has to go...A no.1 who has won just 3 races in 18 rides....pathetic!!!
acef
Once more the select poole divs engaging mouth before brain. 4 races, that's all, before the first idiot pipes up, and his mate not a race after as back up. He wasn't even there. Tonight is a classic example of why this board fights you. Why it doesn't like you. Because your arrogant and you can't stand losing to something that is better. Better in every single way. It's product. It's racing. It's team. Everything. I'll give something back to Steve because he sort of half held his hands up without engaging me. Starman is just an out an out coward. Soft. Soft soft soft
Col
Fantastic start to the season for the Aces despite an under performing #1. I'm sure the Pugwashers consider themselves above the futile KOC

I'm sure the Pugwashers consider themselves above the futile KOC Don't think he's underperformed, he's just not a number 1, yet. When Bjerre goes there, we will have more balance and the potential for another 5 points a meeting. Bjerre will score 10-12 be it at 1/3 or 5. He can take the pressure of a number 1. Max at 3 will double his current scores.

Halifaxtiger
Fantastic start to the season for the Aces despite an under performing #1. I'm sure the Pugwashers consider themselves above the futile KOC Make no mistake, Fricke fought like Hell to get that second place on heat 13. He has been slightly disappointing but he will be an integral part of the Aces team this season.
mikebv
Another excellent Speedway meeting.. Certainly spoilt at the NSS... Highlights were our reserves, great to see two young Brits giving it absolutely everything. Every point gained meant the world to them it appeared. Cook looked superb. Gating or not. He picked a line off the second turn time and again on the first lap, that sailed him past his opponents and to the front. I can see the responsibility of being Captain helping his overall performances this year. Being 'the main man' in the team wont faze him at all but will make him thrive I reckon.. And special mention to Kenny Bjerre, five yards down to KK and HA in the last race as they entered turn three lap one, ten yards in front of the pair as they exited turn four!. They both rode mid track, Bjerre put his back wheel in the dirt, two feet from the fence, and flew round them! Looks like the wide open spaces at the NSS has given Kenny his mojo back! Shame Cook nearly fenced him on bend one lap two as I presume he thought it must be KK howling 'round the boards' so moved out to block the move...! 😁 A very solid Aces team performance overall, when you look at the heats in the programme in most of them they have one, and often two, riders that you can easily consider as race winners... Not a bad position to be in... Early days obviously, but if the team can keep that commitment level they won't be far away at all come the end of the season.. One thing is for sure, with this racetrack it won't be boring! And we are now just two meetings away from the Final!!!😀 Edited April 8, 2017 by mikebv
ray c
Wake up call for matt. Could be difficult times ahead for us i think this team will be very inconsistent.so i think there will be changes at some stage James should be riding national league as well one thing i hope that Craig cook makes the breakthrough this season looks good so far 100% committed
Gunner85
Forget the big score line. We had Super racing. Great team effort from alll 7 Aces. Could not have asked for a better start to our home matches.

I've have the fortune of watching bjerre being nigh on unbeatable anywhere (when he gets heat wins at poole and Swindon you know he's really on it, he hates those tracks) , trouble is if his main rocketship blows or if he gets a couple of falls thro no fault of his own the throttle starts going back the other way , make the most of it because he's capable of beating anybody in the world why he's in his current mood , if bad Kenneth turns up he'll have you pulling your hair out and you'll soon be bald

He has started this season in the form of his life, no doubt about it. Impossible to catch if he gates and was passing for fun last night. But seen him vanish from meetings when given a back wheel by one of the opposition. Belle Vue last night were firing on all cylinders and their setups were all a couple of miles an hour fast than the Poole riders. Heat 13 the prime example when Fricke, Andersen and KK were wheel to wheel but Fricked just opened his throttle and walked slowly away from them during the race. No one will get close to bv at home, though when Poole do return in June we should have Newman back who enjoys the place and the team will have a better idea of setups. You keep going on about setups.Didn't most of the Poole riders have a meeting there last year with their respective clubs. I knew a rider who used to write setups down for the various tracks he rode at,maybe the Poole riders should do the same

ouch
Another superb meeting from the NSS. I feared the worst when Poole weren't gating as they're not exactly know for their passing prowess with their gate and go home circuit but thankfully they got their gating boots back on which led to some tremendous speedway as the Aces came through. I expected more than 21 from Max, Steve, Justin and Jack but when more than half your team is searching for set ups you need the other members to step up and they did with young Dan putting in a stunning debut, yes debut! Can't wait to see him once he get dialled in to his home circuit. Only gripe was me old Mar missed seeing the lads celebrating on their victory lap as she's not as nimble as she was and couldn't keep jumping to her feet as those around her did. The standing ovations, hand claps and cheering certainly creates a great atmosphere in the busy main stand, I'll just have to get her a stannah seat to life her up with all the rest of the revellers. Bring on Good Friday.

If it was all down to set ups and faster bikes how do you explain the fact that up to heat 13 Fricke had scored 3 points from 3 rides and never won a race all night he had already been beaten by both Kasprzak and Andersen and that Andersen had already won 2 heats 1 in the 2nd fastest time of the night.Yet you say he had a faster bike he just rode the better lines in that race full stop.
