Paulco
Don't think anybody is putting the boot it , they were just commenting on what they saw . Just like in any team sport you get very entertaining matches and you get some mediocre matches , unfortunately for any neutral visiting Glasgow for the first time , Saturday's meeting was the latter . That's not anyone putting the boot in , just a statement of fact .
tyretrax
If the starting gate was ripped up, why did the tractors boys spend an hour packing it back down before the meeting?
Bagpuss
We went to Glasgow speedway for the first time and I am sorry to have to say we were bored stiff. A friend wanted to come with us for a first experience of speedway but changed her mind at last minute. We are so glad she did. Meeting was not a good example for a newcomer and old ones at that, sorry. We will not be back again. We were on holiday but nothing about it except the scotch pies will be worth coming back for. A bit drastic to say you are not going back when the track is likely to be very different on another occasion and there has been good racing there in the past.

I sorry you didn't enjoy your visit , I agree it was pretty mundane stuff on Saturday , but that wasn't a typical meeting we've been used to . It's usually much better that what you saw against Scunthorpe . Unfortunately you get good and bad meetings on all tracks , i'm afraid you were just unlucky .

You have my sympathy Whippy, I've had similarly bad luck at Scunthorpe - I seem to turn up on its off days. Seems every track has its good and not so good days. Probably worth you having another visit to Ashfield sometime and me giving Scunny yet another try - knowing my luck it will be one of the EWR's off days right enough.
