Speedway On Tv And The Internet In 2024

Recommended Posts

I am on the verge of subscribing to Discovery Plus, for £6.99 per month, please, does anyone know do they class a month as a calendar month or 30 days from the day you sign? The reason I ask, looking at their speedway schedule, IF I sign up on say the 29th April, then I can get three GP's in the 30 day period, plus the domestic coverage as well, seems like a bargain!

It's on the anniversary of when you signed up - so will expire 29th May.  Shame you didn't sign up a few weeks back when they had a years pass for £29.

BT and Warner Bros Discovery have finalised a deal to combine their sport broadcasting arms in a 50/50 joint venture. The deal, once finalised, could be worth as much as £633m to BT. It will see BT Sport and Eurosport UK merge, creating a new pay-TV broadcast home for premium sports including the Premier League, the Olympic Games, tennis Grand Slams, the UEFA Champions League, the Tour de France, Premiership Rugby and more. The FT reports that the joint venture is a "marriage of convenience", with BT looking to exit sports broadcasting and focus on its infrastructure and fibre expansion across the UK.

I wonder what this means to speedway in the long term ???

Yes live on Eurosport Poland and Germany. Only on the player/ discovery app in the UK.

i will put the links on the thread tomorrow( international section)

Not in Germany. It is French Open Tennis and a little bit of Cycling in between, but norhting else on Eursport 1 or Eurosport 2 here in Germany. The Speedway GP and GP2 here are only available via the EUROSPORT PLAYER.

That`s a shame with Celina riding as WC.

Edit Discovery are saying Teterow will be on Eurosport in Germany.

Yes, that's true, but the German GP at Teterow will be the only SGP that is show live on German EUROSPORT this year. No much to create a better awareness of the sport in our country. The rest of the SGP series and the SGP2 events wil only be available via the EURSPORT PLAYER.

Personally, I think DISCOVERY make a mistake to show the German GP live on Free TV, because that is the one our fans could travel to and attend most easily. It would make more sense if they'd show any or all of the foreing SGPs rather than our domestic one. I fear that it will affect the attendance at Teterow.
