Guest
1938 West Ham rider Eddie Barker (Canada) when he was a professional wrestler, before and after his speedway career. Tom Marriott, who sent the photo, writes: "Eddie Flash Barker a.k.a. Flash Gordon a.k.a. Blondie Gordon! Amongst other names!" Eddie Barker's wrestling career. The poster is for contests at Fleetwood in 1947. Ed 'Blondie' Gordon is Ed 'Flash' Barker. Edited March 25, 2017 by Guest

Guest
The 1938 Canadian Team with riders who competed in the UK. Can any member name them left-to-right please? This photo was taken at West Ham where three team members Eric Chitty, Jimmy Gibb and Eddie 'Flash' Barker were associated with that club. Guest
Charlie Appleby and Emerson 'Crocky' Rawding were two of many Canadian riders active on British tracks in the late 1930s. Appleby also rode for Birmingham in 1946 but died after an end of season accident at Newcastle.
