Flat Tracks

Recommended Posts

I think the phrase "Flat Track" is referring to the motorcycle discipline, rather than the track surface being flat....

Funny but I never thought that Oxford had much banking until I stood on the centre green...however there used to be a line up towards the fence (pits bend if I recall) that suffered with an adverse camber and sometimes caught riders out. However Dag Lovaas perfected the art of sweeping around opponents on that same bend many a time just edging his back wheel at the point of no return...not what this particular thread initiated but what the heck!

You don't always appreciate the banking at Swindon until you stand on the track...we have a massive bank at the moment shame it's the mud heap at the top of the car park

Maybe the new housing estate will have a road named to commemorate that. Imagine buying a house in Steepshale Crescent.

How's the construction work there coming along?

Whoosh!!!

just counted at least 6 different flat-track threads on this forum- so I would like to ask

Does anyone thing tracks are flatter now than in earlier times ??

To be a proper flat track thread you need to add half a dozen links.

Though you do get a bonus point for putting it in the right thread!
