INCOGNITO
Just beat Sky Sports in the bidding for the Champions League football and had enough lose change to get the Speedway too. Who will they get to present it ?

Pirates Of Poole
With the sky contract ending 2 years early surely that money will be used over the next 2 years until a better deal can be done?
CookieIpswich
Sky sports would have had a get out clause and if they were only paying for the live meetings only the clubs would have nothing left to share
Catalan
Sky sports would have had a get out clause and if they were only paying for the live meetings only the clubs would have nothing left to share Or Sky paid up to the end of contract? CookieIpswich
But if the contract was only for televised meetings and there are no fixtures or live meetings agreed there would be nothing to pay up
flagrag
Can't go into the finer details of the contract and to be honest do not know all the ins and outs as rights acquisitions is not my area. So don't know what deal BSPA have got from this But some simples maths it costs around £35,000 a meeting to produce multiplied by 23-25 meetings and then compare to money that clubs received for having Sky in attendance to compensate for the stay at home fans. Again multiply against meetings televised you will see by not broadcasting massive savings over 500k saved

Haza
If Sky Sports has any sense now they'd do a deal with Go Speed to bring the Polish Extraleague to Sky Sports the best riders in the world in full stadiums racing on great race tracks . Think it blow the BT coverage out of the water

Starman2006
If Sky Sports has any sense now they'd do a deal with Go Speed to bring the Polish Extraleague to Sky Sports the best riders in the world in full stadiums racing on great race tracks . Think it blow the BT coverage out of the water And perhaps the riders can tell you how much they are on a meeting compared to what they would get here. Think that answers your question. One reason why they wont come back here. The other is the scheduals. There are still a lot of people who put there heart and soul behind speedway in this country, but you can only work with what you have..
