Badge
See it here, that is not good at all. Taken from twitter: Robert Kingβ @Bobby3820 2h2 hours agoMore Just to put things straight the tyre luke bowen used today at Peterborough was a new tyres but was NOT one of the new ones
WalterPlinge
So Luke Bowen's shredded tyre was one of last year's red ones, and the new yellow one used by Kenneth Bjerre stood up well? Β panic over?
teaboy279
Yeah to confirm Luke posted earlier that this was a New tyre after 3 runs but it was not the new compound it was one of last season's compound.
Trees
Why the hell would Martin Dugard post that pic as if it was a new yellow tyre? What's he on?
tomcat
Why the hell would Martin Dugard post that pic as if it was a new yellow tyre? What's he on? Possibly stirring the pot?? I thought it was one of the new harder compound tyres, thankfully Phil The Ace put me wise above. Mind you, even one of the old tyres shouldn't have shredded like that after just 3 heats. A ORLOV
Not sure what type of or compound they were but a few tyres in the Swindon pits did not look too good at the end of the meeting last night.

Star Lady
I've seen a fair bit of moaning by Aussie riders but not much by Brits and Danes. Β That could be indicative of who I follow on Twitter lol.
speedibee
I've seen a fair bit of moaning by Aussie riders but not much by Brits and Danes. Β That could be indicative of who I follow on Twitter lol. the people who are struggling with them are the ones who dont know how to set their bikes up properly , no problems whatsoever with them at Wolves last night , and not a single ! destroyed one on the piles left out for NL/ second half lads to take , Hope the SCB take no notice of the whining Aussies and persevere , maybe offer them a course in how to set an engine up themselves rather than simply jump on whatever a ripoff tuner has supplied them with .. mac101
It Will all depend what the tracks like scunny always has a blue groove after 4 heats so it will destroy tyres for fun and kings lynn was always the best for second hand tyres
Star Lady
Forgive my complete ignorance of anything remotely technical but do different tyre pressures have anything to do with it? Or do all riders use the same pressure?
mac101
Would depend on riders weight but most go between 6-8 psi as the tyre pressure will go up as the tyre gets hotter and the compound gets softer which then deteriorate track with no dirt will destroy tyres quicker
