Guest
In the immediate post-war years of speedway journalism there were many writers on the sport. Sadly, as time has progressed not as many it would appear there were? These are some of the by-lines from around 1946 going into the 1960s. They were well known - but who was really '..hammering on the typewriter?" These are a few names that come to mind - there were more: Charlie Lamb, William B Whitley (or may have been Whitby?), Angus Kix, Bernie Randall, Danny Carter, James Oldfield, Rick Eldon, Jack Brodie, Bob Charles, Francis Drake, Peter Arnold, John Anthony (actually credited as an editor!). If anyone can recall more pen-names and identify who the actual writers really were it would be interesting to see them.
