Guest
When did Tommy Jansson and Bruce Penhall adopt British nationality? The thread's title is Your Greatest 10 British Riders Of All Time.? I'm more concerned that he left buzz burrows, Mike bast and Barry butterworth off his list! I know he's not a Brit Top 10 but to ease your disappointment at his so far non-inclusion in this thread here's a photo of multi- USA champion Mike Bast for you to view waihekeaces1: MIKE BAST. waiheke1
I'm confused. Is that Mike Bast or Bast Bros Weeding? It can be awfully tricky to differentiate between the riders name and the sponsors name? Could anyone shed some light on this topic?

Have you been to Supersavers lately waihekeaces1? Re the wording on Mike Bast's race jacket. It is WELDING. All you need to see it in larger format is use the usual enlarge facility on your laptop or computer. Dear oh dear! You do seem to have a down on Mike Bast for some reason - you have shown this attitude in many Posts regarding the rider over the years. What did he do to upset you? My Post also made it clear that it was a photo of Mike Bast. Surely not on your part as "...a case of being awkward for the sake of being awkward..."? norbold
When I was doing my list, I was a bit surprised by the number of leading British riders who had brothers who also rode: Eric & Oliver Langton, Tom & Sid Farndon, Jack & Norman Parker, Freddie, Eric & Ian Williams, Peter & Brian Craven, Nigel & Eric Boocock, Peter & lots of other Collins..... Guest
Who's Mike Bast? You are joking about Mike Bast? - just trying to wind me up? At a time when I am about go out for lunch too! You will be asking soon if Wal Morton rode for another track than West Ham and did he manage a couple of seasons in the sport! Fred Williams in place of Norman Parker Is Wales no longer in Britain? Valid point norbold. I must have been in an extremely nationalistic mood when I drafted my list and swayed towards English rider selection rather than British. In that case my list should now be read with Fred Williams replacing Norman Parker.
