White pudding looks like a haggis pudding in shape and texture and is has a good oatmeal base with suet, onions and seasoning (and maybe a bit of pork if you are posh) - and unlike black pudding, no blood!!

Haggis pudding has most of the bits the sheep no longer needs and a lot of spices.

Both are rough in texture.

And then of course there's the red pudding!!

Wot No blood ? that would be kosher then ok for Jews , and Jehovahs witnesses could eat it while they stand on your doorstep telling you the world is going to end .

but,,, if you let them in and make them a cup of tea and a slice of cake, they don't know what to say as no-one has ever gone that far ;)

'Shallow' fried pizza is ok with a 'full breakfast' as a replacement for fried bread, (if you like fried bread, of corse),,, but I do like the sound of white pudding and will definitely try it, but the only place i've ever seen it was in Silloth, and that was scary enough ;)

"White" pudding is currently available as a special in LIDL.

Worth a go if you like offal products like black pudding, Haggis, trotters, heart, etc....

Be careful about that - there are many variations on white pudding especially between Scotland and Ireland.

Main differences are meat/no meat / type of meat / amount of suet or fat / etc.

So heaven knows what a German version (or whatever!) might be like!!
