Aces51
I can't say who was the best all round motor cyclist, I have no real interest in any discipline other than speedway but for me Tatum was the better speedway rider. Wigg was a character, more colourful and exciting to watch but Tatum more consistent and if I remember correctly, generally had a higher average.
Theboss
Simon was a great guy and all round rider. One of my all time favourites along with Bobby Ott.
SPEEDY69
Tatum all the way, I think better on the speedway and awesome when watching him on the grass. Remember him going all over the deep clods around the outside at Collier St miles in front, so brave.

PHILIPRISING
Tatum for me . HE was outstanding in junior Moto-cross and is actually riding in some senior (both in terms of rider and machine) event these days. Both Simon and Kelvin loved riding not just racing.
Woz01
Purely based on Speedway then it has to be Kelvin.
Bruiser McHuge
Loved Wiggy ..he was a great team man behind the scenes and would do anything for a teammate ..and a far more outgoing flamboyant character than Tatum  But...purely on speedway I'd say Tatum eas better..better on a range of tracks and more consistent.....I'd sooner watch Wigg though.. Both Simon and Kelvin loved riding not just racing. Is this any less dangerous than riding s/way at say NL level ,his inability to copes with injury was given as a reason for not making a comeback after becoming the GTR test rider after 10yrs away from the sport ? Â Oh and Kelvin every time for me going back on thread .
SCB
Wiggy was the entertainment to Kelvs methodical approach. Chalk and cheese really. Kelv appears to have been the better rider but Wiggy is the one I'm going to watch on YouTube/video.

Kelvin Tatum was speedways equivalent of Steve Davis, Wiggy was the Jimmy White of Speedway..
