All this years "seat of the pants", "off the cuff" and "playing it by ear" "what suits the Poole Pirates this time" (etc) decision making that will go on this season will have been crystallised into the 2017 rule book by then. Maybe that explains any delay. I am looking forward to this new, simplified, straightforward and unambiguous version. It will be worth the wait if it stops some of the shenanigans and the discretion of the management committee to ignore it if they so wish by the, in the best interests of the sport, get out rule. They won't be completely ripped up and re-written, but, I think any changes will be discussed in depth, scenario'd, more than once, with different conditions, discussed again, modified, scenario'd again before a final discussion before being inked in..
