Halifaxtiger
I've used Booking.com for about 5 years to book rooms all over the continent. Sometimes the Hotels in there give you free cancellations, sometimes not. Every hotel is free to set it's own terms and conditions, and the cheaper "no-frills" tarrifs are often non-refundable, even on this web site. Always check before you book. That's where I look, although I always check places where I have stayed before first. Travelodges aren't as cheap as they make out even if you book substantially in advance and take the cheaper, non refundable rate.
uk_martin
...Travelodges aren't as cheap as they make out even if you book substantially in advance and take the cheaper, non refundable rate. Tis true, but they are a reasonable price (usually) and you can be pretty sure that you know what you're going to get. Sometimes simplicity and certainty is worth something. pete cc
Says something when we are reduced to talking about "best hotel deals" when all we want are the fixtures. At least we are not talking about the state of the toilets at some tracks. When the only running water comes from a hole in the roof
pine490
Isn't that what we all love about speedway and lures us back week after week? The disorganisation, unhealthy food and lack of any sanitary facilities. Set that against the smell of the methanol and the anticipation as the green light comes on and the engines roar. I know I do. pete cc
Nothing better than having to beat down the nettles each week just to have a pee.
blueherb777
Right altogether now ..... `Why are we waiting, why are we waiting,oh why,oh why,oh why do we wait` I think this is really poor, when the season starts soon. No excuses when the other Leagues are out and even the Belle Vue/Coventry situation.

uk_martin
...National League fixtures to be released mid-morning Tuesday. Does that mean that the fixtures are agreed and they are just taking the Piszcz for a further 24 hours by keeping us dangling on their thread? Or does it mean that they are all still squabbling and haggling and tomorrow morning they will publish what they've got subject to changes later? LaurenceRogers
All agreed!!
uk_martin
All agreed!! So the BSPA are just taking the Piszcz by making everyone wait an extra needless day? :-(
pine490
Calm down everyone - if they get wind of our grumblings they'll make it Wednesday - and then change them on Thursday. https://speedwayprogrammes.wordpress.com

RS50
So, if the full fixtures are out (as per BSPA) the Belle Vue Coventry alliance are racing away matches only.
