pine490
Does anyone know when this is likely to be published? I'm doing a fund raising project for the Stroke Association this season involving visiting all the UK tracks and a fixture list would certainly help! Halifaxtiger
Spoke to a club promoter a week or so ago and he told me he had 'no idea' when they would be published.

Mimmo
I run a sports league in the summer months, where at least twenty of our members along with myself, attend the NL meetings at our local track. Because of the ridiculous wait for publication of the NL fixtures, I've had to go ahead compile a summer fixtures list, knowing full well that none of us will now be able to attend the speedway meetings, of which there are bound to be many clashes. It's a major disappointment to all of us, as we love our National League meetings, but in my case, I'll just have to console myself with the fact that I'll probably only be able to see the team in away meetings. Also, I'm sure that many of us on here, are trying to plan a holiday around our respective clubs fixtures, but bit by bit, hotels with rooms that contain a decent view, are being booked by others. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.
pine490
Obviously many of you feel as frustrated as I do when I look at the SGB website every day and still no NL fixtures. Sadly, this is speedway all over - disorganised chaos. So far as my fund raising project is concerned, apart from the tracks within reasonable distance of home, it's impossible to even begin planning the travel strategy and booking overnight stays etc. As you say - very disappointing.

Islander15
The NL had to wait until the top 2 tiers had confirmed their fixtures in order to avoid clashes. But as others has said, it's frustrating how late in the year fixtures are going to end up being released.
Halifaxtiger
Good to know the NL is being run very professionally ? The gentleman concerned was as disappointed, frustrated and angry as any of us.
tocha
At the Lakeside forum the Thursday before last, Jon Cook stated he had submitted their fixture list earlier that week. I suppose it could be the Coventry/Belle Vue situation delaying matters.
Mike0310
I am now a national league convert now Plymouth are in the division but why are people so worried as half the teams including mine have not even completed there 1-7s yet I'm more worried who my last rider is than when the first meeting is that is only my opinion and I fully respect everyone else's. pine490
I seem unintentionally to have opened up quite a hornet's nest here. Whatever the reasons, it does seem quite extraordinary to me that we are almost at the end of the first week in February and still none the wiser as to the fixtures for this coming season. I notice most of the club websites are stating the start of the season to be 'Spring 2017' so nicely covering themselves there. As I said, my motives are purely practical if I am to achieve my goal of visiting every track and raising the charity funds target I have set myself, Some of the tracks are well over 400 miles from where I live so there is a good deal of travel strategy planning to be done to combine tracks within one trip etc and still manage to have a life outside of speedway. Without a fixture list, I can't even begin. David https://speedwayprogrammes.wordpress.com
uk_martin
Just as a bit of fun, let's see who can guess how many days it will be after the fixture list is released before the first fixture change is made...

blueherb777
I understand Kent should be receiving their first draft fixture list about now. So it will be about a week or so after that they are published.
Bluenose
It seems some teams know a few of their fixtures, take Cradley, on their website it says that the four bank holiday fixtures will take place at Monmore after the days Wolves fixture, Wolves will race at 5pm and gates will be open to Cradley fans at 630pm. It is strange that some teams are aloud to advertise fixtures before other teams.. Supporters like to know dates early so to be able to book their holiday dates,or book time off work......................
Mimmo
Whenever the fixtures come out, it's to late for me now, along with another fifteen people (I made a mistake in my original posting when I said twenty, as five have informed me that they've lost all interest in speedway), as the fixtures I'm involved in compiling have a 7.30pm deadline tomorrow.
