weatherwatcher
I hope that before long Buster can at long last put his feet up and take a well earned rest, because what he has done and is still doing must be a huge strain on anyone and thier family. Take care mate and I hope that well deserved break comes along soon.
stevehone
While Coventry and Leicester fans must see chapman as some sort of messiah after the fantastic work he appears to have done to save those teams, his decision to remove the Belle Vue licence was seen, at least as far as the council was concerned, as someone blundering in without a plan. The Belle Vue promotion had a dim view of Chapman going back well before his comments after the opening night, neither side welcomed Chapman's intervention. To say it completely wrong footed the council is an understatement, they were speaking to the previous promotion and fully expected to reach an agreement, they were and still are desperate to make sure what happened last season is kept well and truly covered up. To that end an offer had already been put forward of compensation which was likely to have been accepted. The fact we still don't have a named promoter or team with only a matter of weeks before the new season starts is testament to Chapman's input in 'saving' Belle Vue. but does all this mean that things would have continued how they did in 2016 until they got to a point where it was beyond help and then we DO lose Belle Vue? britmet
Yes he has done a good job but are you sure it was his money that paid the debts and Not the bspa who paid them ? . It matters not, . . he's the chairman of BSPA. He's got the teams back into operation, whichever hat he was wearing.
Catalan
Things wouldn't have continued as they were? The council were looking to paper over what happened last year by paying compensation for the faulty track and finishing the south stand, which added together represents around £200k on the books. Once Chapman revoked the licence nobody knew wtf was going on, least of all Chapman. Still, great work at Coventry and Leicester. Looks like you have an agenda
Tsunami
The BSPA had a £60k deposit off DH in case the club had cash problems so that would be used towards paying some debts. Yes, it's called a bond. Helps to compensate debtors when a promotion gets into trouble, but only pays speedway debts within, not outside creditors. Riders, BSPA, SCB, other promotions, etc.

Starboy118
There will always be haters, whingers and those with agendas but Mr Chapman has done some great work this winter and the bottom line is that he has helped to save the EL (Premiership). He isn't perfect and has his faults but over 25 years he has done wonders for our club and is now starting to make his mark with the governing body too. It is always possible to find, without even looking, thousands of people who are happy to "talk the talk". Locating someone who is prepared to "walk the walk" is as difficult as nailing jelly to a wall !

ouch
Looks like the BSF is in Chapmans pocket as well. Great shame.
Lord Skid
Chapman is in a very exclusive Club within the BSPA,it only has around 5 members, only requirement for Membership is that you own a financially sound business without debts in the Sport. Tsunami
Looks like the BSF is in Chapmans pocket as well. Great shame. It's also a great shame that some fans don't acknowledge what Buster has achieved for speedway. A lot of fans do, but certain BV fans don't seem to be in that group. Do they prefer Gordon instead of Buster. I know where my vote would go, but for you to say the BSF is in Buster's pocket, is one of the most stupid and biased comments on here.
