Grand Prix Challenge 2017

Why was King picked to do a round? Complete waste of time and has probably had 8 goes at the qualifiers over the years and been crap every year. Knowing British speedway, it wouldn't surprise if King was picked over Lambert.

As Danny King is the current British Champion, he is the obvious choice for a place. There were 15 other riders that had the chance to win and claim a qualification place.

No he's not the obvious choice. He's had plenty of previous goes and done nothing. The lad can't ride foreign tracks, pointless sending him. Lambert has a chance in the future, he should have been used over someone who won one meeting on a rain soaked track.

So the British speedway champion isn't the obvious choice for a qualification spot, fair enough.

Perhaps the best thing to do is select the the top averaged British rider over the season, top two Craig Cook and Danny King.

Maybe the best thing for the ACU track racing committee is to use Mystic Meg to select in future

INVEST in the future and at the moment the only candidate is Lambert. Should have been drafted into the British Final as well.

2 big semi-finals this week.

1st up on Thursday 15th June(bank holiday) in Olching Germany meeting starts at 1pm UK time - practice is Wednesday at 2pm local.

2nd semi is on Saturday 17th in Terenzano Italy meeting starts at 7pm UK time- practice same day 2pm local

Is practice compulsory? I think from memory it is for FIM events so guess no Huckenbeck for Lynn on Wednesday.

No not compulsory- however I would be surprised at this stage of the competition if any riders didn`t.

Nothing surprises me any more !!!!!!!

Nice to see at least one forum poster can have his mind changed! :icon_smile_clown:
