I have conflicting reports about this fixture.

 

One report I have is that this meeting was rained off however the fixture is not included in the 1977 season file on the Speedway Researcher.

 

Can anyone (maybe with a copy of the Speedway Star) confirm whether this fixture was indeed rained off ?

I was there...but can not remember the exact details. May have been part of a double header?

The dates I've got for this meeting are

 

rained off on 14th June (which is what I am trying to confirm)

possible restage on the 28th June as a double header with the Ipswich BL match and a rebel win by 51 to 27

14th June was rained off and it was restaged as part of a double header on the 28th. Scan of 28/06 programme here https://app.box.com/s/5s7ggxs7156pfo0ww77n/1/535771022/5159099542/1 The 'Promoters Piece' carries details of the postponement in paragraph 3.

 

I have advised Steve, who produced the detailed file, of the omission and no doubt the file will be updated in due course.
