New Science
No I'm not. I think I'm pretty clear where I stand on Tai. The request for a testimonial is barmy. I'm disappointed that Tai has chosen not to ride for team GB but like Lee Richardson and Scott Nicholls before him he is making a stand. His reasons are no different to either Lee or Scott. As for not riding in the UK, I'd rather he did of course however I'd rather Greg, Nicki P, Emil et Al were riding here as well. Tai has no different reasons to any of those mentioned or suggested. So don't try and suggest I'm saying something that I'm clearly not. You have forgotten to defend him over dropping the British Final ! For what its worth your post is spot on. I think the Tai haters are a tad disappointed that those of us who respect Tai's decision not to ride here are actually in agreement that he shouldnt get a testimonial. Kind of means they arguing over nothing which is quite funny. As i said earlier Tai doesnt deserve one but how the heck did Kasprzak??? If Bale turned around and said, "sorry, I can't be arsed to play for Wales anymore, the rest of the team are not good enough. I want 70% of the player wages or I won't bother." I should imagine the majority of Welsh fans would be up in arms over his attitude. But that is exactly what happened with Woffinden and the SWC. Stevebrum goes on about him getting the biggest cheer at the British GP. Simply because for a lot of the fans who attend, it is their only meeting of the year. They have no idea of how he has acted towards British Speedway. The apologists can attempt to defend his actions but the rest of us have seen straight through him. Are you going to ride in the British final Tai? If not why not? Are you going to be part of TeamGB Tai? If not why not? Or is it all down to that Abba song? Money Money Money. Thats the reason he won't ride for TeamGB. He wanted a percentage of the winnings equivalent to his points. A real shame a British World Champion is held in such scant regard by the majority of British fans. and talking of Tai haters here is one of the biggest. PLEASE FIND ANYONE WHO SAID HE SHOULD HAVE A TESTIMONIAL????????????// are you happy going over old ground?? everyone is saying he shouldnt have a testimonial so are you just using this thread to slag him off again.......bit pathetic really You have forgotten to defend him over dropping the British Final ! dropped it or were the semi finals around the gp as was the final.......jeez old news! anyway he is hardly likely now to turn up in it as he kind of burnt his bridges with the BSPA Edited December 16, 2016 by Gavan

Gavan
The semi finals around the GP is about as truthful as the testimonial is not about money ! or do you just automatically believe everything he says lol have you checked the facts?? Semi Final 1 Scunthorpe on FRIDAY 13TH MAY Semi Final 2 Glasgow on SUNDAY 15TH MAY Grand Prix 2 Warsaw on SATURDAY 14TH MAY No your spot on there the GP was not on the SAME weekend as the semi finals. Tai asked to be seeded to the final and was told no, so you expect him to race on the same gp weekend and risk injury..........laughable...bit like your post They are just trying to defend the undefendable. ha ha pillock look at the dates of the semi finals and the gp thats evidence enough

A real shame a British World Champion is held in such scant regard by the majority of British fans. Are you seriously trying to suggest that those who go to Cardiff have no idea what goes on in speedway and only the folks on BSF hold him in scant regard?? Completely laughable Steve. The majority of British fans will forgive him anything because his is the golden boy of British Speedway. They are just as entitled to that opinion as you or I or the the Tai hating troll. then there are the savvy British speedway fans who believe that everything about his actions are wrong and everyone needs to follow their lead. The BSF is a tiny representation of speedway fans opinions. It does not represent the majority in any form. You have forgotten to defend him over dropping the British Final ! Again, that's to do with the ridiculous expectation of the BSPA from the previous season. You are going to have to do better than that. This is just another attempt to try put him down. Like you say I haven't yet read ONE supporting post for him to have a testimonial so I've no idea why some still want to go over old ground on other issues. I haven't read one on here although plenty of support on social media which again proves the point that here is a tiny representation of views not as Shovlar suggests a majority. I'm still outraged that the poorly committed Pole Kasprzak even got one who doesn't qualify by 10 years service either! Lefty
How about allowing Tai's Testimonial to be staged at Wolverhampton as an end of season highlight on Monday 23 October. I'm sure the fact that the Australian GP is five days later wouldn't cause any conflict of interest and would help Tai show his loyalty and commitment to British Speedway. orion
I agree he doesnt deserve a testimonial and to ask for one is a bit daft. But why should he have to ride here in our league??? Doyle , Lindgren and Holder are the only gp boys who do so why does Tai get criticised?? As i say he quite rightly doesnt get a testimonial but why whinge that he doesnt ride here? The two are the same ..he said he would ride here if he got a Testimonial so quite right he getting stick for both ...as has been said before you won't see the other top boys skipping there own league or turning there back on there nation at World Cup time .

Sounds familiar doesn't it?? that was the original date, think it was postponed and rerun the following year??

Does Greg ride in the American national championships every year? Do all the Oz riders go home to compete in their national titles? Just as prestigious as the British title don't you think? As already stated I'd prefer Tai to ride in the UK over other leagues but like virtually every top rider they go where the money is. Little to gain for Tai racing in a weakened league and it's a disgrace the top flight has become as poor as if has. Tai not riding here is another chance for the haters to hate. What missed there league and never rode in the world cup ? Don't you remember the dreadful side the Russians put out a few seasons ago when not one of the top boys rode over here? Hawk127
All of the top riders seem to under estimate the feeling of the genuine supporters. Greg Hancock sticks two fingers up to the paying public at the lat G P an Tai does the same as far as the wider U.K. Supporter is concerned. The sooner that the top riders remember who actually pays to watch them and it is not simply about creaming a living off the sponsors, so the sooner that they learn that they have to earn the respect of the real supporter the better. Tai like many overs should remember that you earn respect you cannot demand it
