Interesting that the Swedes have put their championhips on the only weekend that the EC is speculated for. Though I did read that at the time they had no info on the EC date. And there actually still isnt.

Such a pity Chichkov crashed out on the first day due to Makarov's reckless move. But with Valeev we have new name in the GP's it seems (well if he qualifies, which is more then likely).

 

It seems that Ivanov and Valeev will go to the GP qualifier in Ylitornio, and therefore miss out on the 3rd and 4th Russian championship final. Terrible planning by the Russian federation, although they did request the FIM to move the Ylitornio qualifier a week later (with FIM declining). With such few weekends in the icespeedway season this is just a shame.

 

Kononov and Koltakov will go to Stromsund for the other qualifier. Pickings to be confirmed on December 30.

The line-ups for the 2 World Championship qualis have been announced.Won't call them draws as it is obvious riders have been picked.The Bauers together,Svenssons together,the two Berlin riders together(wonder just how Tobi will go..)etc

It's been over 40 in parts of Lapland over the week. Practise was cancelled last year as well, yes. For race day its gonna snow a bit with about -5.

 

It's -23 here at Tampere, just put the warmer on my car... hope it's not in deep freeze and I can get to work...

I have tried to find a video link for the Russian Final 2 in Shadrinsk this weekend, but they don't appear to have one. However if you have access to Periscope, some fans plan to use that. There doesn't appear to be a link for that but if you have periscope and know how to use it (which I don't) then the final can be found there.

Franky Zorn puts a marker down, beating both the Russians. Bauer third is another good result, with Kononov losing to both Zorn and Bauer.

Robert Henderson crashed out in Heat 12, and has either broken his collar bone or dislocated his shoulder, the SVEMO site weren't too sure .

It's decided by the FIM, so I guess they will also look at the qualifiers. Simon and Svensson junior are both good additions to the lineup, and were unlucky in the qualifiers. I do however have a feeling that we might see a Finish rider in it too as Seppanen is in charge

 

Weber as a wildcard in Berlin would be good. I would not be suprised if we see Tobias Busch in Berlin, or at least as a reserve, as he is sponsored by Berlin.
