89buttons
stand out teams Ipswich and Sheffield, now Peterborough are complete think they'll be very competitive, i really don't understand why everyone sees glasgow as an amazing line up! the same top 3 as last year and yes the strongest top 3 in the league but then a very long tail! lunna was a supposed trump card last year riding in their main team body and didn't progress that far, to me perry and smith are both good riders with potential but not a vast difference to ayres and garcia, so for them to go one further than last year and be the best team in the league this means young dan bewley has got to outscore rene bach and ben barker from this year in only his second full season in the premier league! he's a great prospect and I'm sure he's on the road to being a top rider in the next few years, but is he going to double his starting average in only his second season at this level and first in main team body???? i can't see it!
poolebolton
This is very subjective? Did you really just put on a forum this is subjective. It's a forum it is pretty much the definition of subjective. Hahahha. Just that comment made me laugh, because yes it's true but well its a forum. Peterborough look a very good team, strong reserve which will make a big difference. And a Number 1 who has the most scope to improve IMO.
Mike.Butler
Easy way to do this is rate every rider 1 to 10 for each position and team with the lowest number has the best chance of winning. This is just my attempt and not a bad way of doing this. So best number 1 is Cook and he gets rating of 1 for example. Made me laugh out loud this post.. Best one i've read for ages! starting with 'Easy way.....' chuckle
Guest Scunny2012
In an ideal world there should be no favourites as all 10 teams are made up the same with a combined average of the ridiculous low figure of 40 Edited December 8, 2016 by Scunny2012
Fromafar
In an ideal world there should be no favourites as all 10 teams are made up the same with a combined average of the ridiculous low figure of 40I will go with that theory, and Berwick will be top of the League.(Alphabetical order)
foamfence
In an ideal world there should be no favourites as all 10 teams are made up the same with a combined average of the ridiculous low figure of 40 If you sign seven riders on their way down the averages, they wont do as well as seven on their way up the averages, that's why the wealthier set-ups end up at or near the top. Joe Beevers
It's a tough looking league and a lot of strong teams. I like the way Peterborough are setting up. Ipswich and Sheffield look very solid and Redcar and Workington look the dark horses.
Gavan
It's a tough looking league and a lot of strong teams. I like the way Peterborough are setting up. Ipswich and Sheffield look very solid and Redcar and Workington look the dark horses. Im still struggling to see how Workington look good. But thats my opinion and as ive said nothing against Workington and their great fans but i think the team looks awful

Owenbros
I think Sheffield look the best followed by Ipswich. Peterborough look next best and should certainly be strong early doors with BWD at reserve. The 4th place could be a shoot out between Newcastle and Glasgow. Roll on March!! AlanF
I don't really get the love for the Ipswich team. King, Covatti, Heeps and Newman have all been around long enough that there may not be any major improvement left in them. They have a couple of decent but not outstanding reserves. Schlein is coming back from serious injuries and he may be fabulous and he may be awful. I think Sheffield have 4 riders who can increase their average (Bjerre, Bates, JPB, Branford). By the business end of the season I also think Smith, Bewley and Perry will have come on enough to make Glasgow difficult to beat.
spin king
I think that it looks like a very competitive, with lots of good and decent teams. Like it previous seasons I think that injuries will play a large part of who will do well and who won't. But I think that you can also add to the equation this season how the doubling up effect will have bearing on who is successful. With that in mind Glasgow for me have the upper hand as their top three as it stands have to give priority to Glasgow fixtures Will be interesting to see how Edinburgh going with th rest of the team building, cannot not imagine them not going with Masters, so adding him to their line up it is difficult to try and piece together a decent line up, but they usually pull something out of the bag. The two teams that I feel may struggle is Scunthorpe and Berwick, and dependant on who else to get in Edinburgh could well be down there with them. New era Panthers
No keep it the original way We don't mind really, I like the thought of being the underdog , no shocks if we fail but what a bonus if we come up with the goods when it matters. We have a good all round team with no superstars with a young up and coming NO7 which should make for a good season at the showground , away might prove a little bit difficult though and they will have work at it to grind out results. Team wise i'm more than happy just the double ups is going to cause the odd problem. Otherwise everything fine. Looking forward to march 2017 with optimism.
