waiheke1
tbh, I reckon in the new PL you may be lucky to get 10 riders improving their average. I'll suggest: Klindt, Clegg, Batch, R Lambert, K Bjerre, Schlein (if he gets a spot) Riders to hold their average: Bates, Kerr, B Kurtz, Porsing, F Lindgren, Rose, S Lambert, Huckenbeck, Bewley. hagonshocker
r.e the nitpickers questioning which category to put this in does it make any difference seeing as though the standard between the 3 leagues isn't all that different! Ghosty
Jan Graversen. I have nothing personally against Jan Graversen BUT I think Gary is pushing his luck this time! Graversen has had numerous opportunities in the UK to prove himself & failed, the only thing he seems good at is obtaining a low average for the following season. Gary must have a reason for JGs team selection, what is it?
g13webb
In this easier format and weaker league, I would not be surprised if the majority of decent riders improved their score. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but as I read all riders completing in the premiership, will acquire new averages as from the first batch of meetings. So the rolling average format actually starts anew when the season begins. This alone will have immediate affect and is more likely than not give a truer reflection on ones performance from the start. In the previous years protected format, the EDR's were running amok and giving everyone false impression of their ability. This year it will be much harder for them to shine and therefore I see most of the reserves struggling to maintain there false presence. The new riders brought in on this low 2point opening might improve a small portion but it will also be hard to make much impression. Forgetting about the calculation factor, I see the heat leaders (HL) as the main benefactors of this reverting back to the old format. Top riders like Holder, KK, Lindgren, and Doyle should fill their boots most meetings. Riders like Nicholls, Bomber, Bjerre, King and Batchelor should also benefit from only riding against one HL at a time, so more than able to increase on last years scores.... The 2nd Strings..(2S) will be a more competitive area. Again having also benefitted from the protected format, this year will be much harder. But like a good bottle of milk the cream will always rise to the top. Some 2S will prosper and graduate to HL status while must will struggle and could drop down to the reserves. Who will be the biggest improvers? Could be anyone I've mentioned above, But I've a feeling KB and Batch will be somewhere near the top on that reckoning

szkocjasid
1.Kerr Scunthorpe 2.Parkinson Blackburn Sheffield 3.Riss Edingburgh 4.Bewley ?? 5.Bates Coventry/Sheffield 6.Hume/Ipswich/Brummies 7.Wood Eastbourne 8.Brennan Eastbourne 9.Jenkins Mildenhall 10.Jorgensen Workington. Which Riss? Both Bjerres, Schlein at Ipswich, Batchelor if he's at Lynn, Kurtz, Parkinson-Blackburn, Bewley, possibly Charles Wright, Riss and Berge. Edit > And Jordan Jenkins Which Riss? I'd say that in terms of big average riders, Freddie Lindgren is better value. Klindt could prove a disappontment. It wouldn't be the first time. Not many in the top flight will improve their averages. Riders have either been over assessed or riding on PL averages against better riders than last year. I agree that F.Lindgren should get nearer to his starting ave than K.Kasprzak! I agree that this should be under General Discussions however if I had to pick a side of PL improvers 1) F Lindgren 2) N Klindt 3) K Newman 4) K Huckenbeck 5) K Bjerre 6) J Bates 7) J P Blackburn In my opinion they could all put 2 points on their current average. J P Blackburn not in Premiership! Agree with all your pics, excpet i'm not so sure about Huckenbeck?
