DC2
If Klindt can average 8 from reserve, would this be a possibility? And if not Vaculik on 8, maybe Batchelor on 7.36? The only karma would be Nicolai obtaining a fair average & becoming unemployable! After all, he should have been 8.9 on a 1.4 conversion of his EL average! Presumably Nicolai realised this & insisted on a full season's contract (doubt it with Ford)?
Joe Beevers
What an odd topic? Poole really does have a hex on this forum. My answer would be cross that bridge when we come to it. Standard BSPA thinking isn't it?
stevebrum
Confirmed team averages drop to 42 to stop that happening.
SteveLyric2
Also confirmed yesterday that Vaculik will not do British speedway while he's in the GP series!!
DC2
Confirmed team averages drop to 42 to stop that happening. Yes, I can see that makes sense for tactical team changes but not for an injury replacement (if Klindt achieves an 8 point average & breaks his leg, or mysteriously decides to withhold his services!). Are they not entitled to a like for like replacement?
Daniel Smith
Confirmed team averages drop to 42 to stop that happening. The drop to 42 is correct but with the original posters theory it'll make no difference what the team average is as the change would be allowed. Grachan
Confirmed team averages drop to 42 to stop that happening. But you can still, presumably, replace a rider with a lower average rider. Klindt won't get an 8 average anyway.
SteveLyric2
Confirmed team averages drop to 42 to stop that happening. Agree - but what has not been confirmed anywhere is what averages 'new' or 'unused' riders can come in on after the 42 points kicks in?!. Unless CVS commented on it at your fans forum this week?! Woz01
Now the format has been reverted back Klindt won't average 8 anyway. Edited December 2, 2016 by woz01
DC2
It really is amazing that the promoters did not study the averages & realise that certain glaring anomalies should be addressed. Klindt 5.42 instead of 8.9!!!! Come on! Even if CVS or Ford had fancied it, surely a majority vote could have defeated it?
Big Al
If I were Klindt I'd have a few early season "mechanical issues"
Starman2006
Sad init, that there are some posters on here who are hell bent in continually sticking the knife in Poole. Perhaps they should look closer to home... Edited December 2, 2016 by Starman2006
Steve Shovlar
This topic wouldn't have been started if Klindt had sign for another club. Haters gonna hate.....

Bagpuss
Haha, paranoid much? The speedway world doesn't revolve sround Poole you know, there are plenty of us who dont give a monkeys about your club. To answer the initial question, there have to be safeguards against this kind of thing happening, whichever club it is.
