Little Thumper
So one down, six to go. Mr Pipe told the tifosi that he would be building the team to the rumoured 35 points limit. On that basis, it will be interesting to see where the remaining 25.51 points is going to be allocated. 1. Matt Williamson (9.49) 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Look out for Jason Pipe in a pub near you any time soon, as he unveils more International Men of Mystery.

Sings4Speedway
Dont believe anything pipe says! Agreed. Plus given the way Mildenhall have built their team so far theres no way the limit can drop below 38 unless they release a rider. I suspect Mr Pipe may have been fed porkies from other sources if he believes the limit will be 35 points and if that is the case is a big risk using nearly 10 of his 35 on one rider so i wouldn't hold out much hope for the rest of the signings. That said Matt Williamson will be a top rider for 2017 in the NL but 18-21 points a meeting (5 ride max with tactical, 6 if team is running RR for 2nd heatleader) is still useless unless he can get some decent support. Little Thumper
Not just useless, but impossible since the NL (sensibly) doesn't have the Tactical Ride, double points joker nonsense. I'll drink to that
Ommer Mon
Glad to see Matt get fixed up. Really popular during his stay at Cradley and he improved in leaps and bounds during his stay with the Heathens. Wonder whose bikes he will be on this season. Rumour had it he was mounted on some of N K Iversen's kit while with us. Hope he continues to develop into a quality rider.

But Friend Pipe does mention in his latest offering that the signing of young Mr Williamson has encouraged a couple of the waverers not to jump ship. Not quite sure how they would get on when Matt is away on other business but we shall see.

He was impressive before he got injured but then didn't seem the same rider, giving him a potentially falsely low average.
Alex2000
He shouldn't be working to 35 points though as he will be at a disadvantage from the very start.

I think that Lee did pretty well last year and could develop nicely in 2017. Edited December 10, 2016 by Little Thumper

Little Thumper
Could a return for Ryan Blacklock be on the cards now he has signed for Berwick in the Championship? Well, bugger me! That retirement didn't last long, did it? And we did all that emotional send-off business at the last meeting at Buxton and it was probably just a ruse to get away from Friend Pipe! I just hope that Mr Blacklock doesn't do something silly like sign for Stoke.
