gee jay
so much for having to sign a 3 pointer 'cos there was no one left , what a signing for the hitmen.
Islander15
Pipe talks about Perks being here for the season and maybe leaving if he thinks he might not be able to carry on. Whereas Perks talks as if he only plans on doing the first few meetings and then re-evaluating the situation. I wonder if Perks will gradually miss more and more meetings, especially away, with the Hitmen using decent guests each time.
Speedway28
It's clear to see that Perks won't ride the whole season from reading his statement in comparison to Pipe's.
WalterPlinge
Certainly sounds like Buxton have signed Ellis Perks' average rather than the rider. Expect to see him do a meeting or two and then a host of guests will be utilised up to his average. Got to have some sympathy for Buxton, they lose out to others who can pay more, but it does make speedway look a joke.
flipper11
I thought the rule was you can only have a guest to cover for an absent no1 or if 2 or more riders are out injured? Even if buxton can only use r/r for his absence it has to be better than signing a 3 point rider!
Ommer Mon
Very good signing if he stays the course. Best of luck to Buxton. They do a fantastic job up there.

Even if buxton can only use r/r for his absence it has to be better than signing a 3 point rider! If it's a clash of fixtures then they can use a guest regardless of his position in the team (as long as he's not at reserve).

Islander15
Buxton have signed somebody for Perks, from next week, that puts them over the limit so an injured Dicken is out for a 3 pointer. Who's about on an average that big? I can only think of Jacobs.

TMW
I think knight let Buxton down a couple of seasons ago when he was dropped from Sheffield. I think he signed for Buxton but then retired I seem to remember
Alex2000
I think you're right actually.I think it would suit him as he retired initially because of work so with a Sunday club that shouldnt affect him and less competitions mean not so many meetings but he can still guest if he wants extra rides
Hunters
Really pleased for Buxton as it looks certain. Disappointed he decided to have a year out or he would have been back at Arlington but apart from that Buxton would have been my choice for him. Jayne deserves a break (and several more). Having seen Jake twice this year he is different class and looks sure to get the full 15 when he visits us later on and we will not begrudge him that. They will be top heavy but if Woolley and Rutherford give them the right support they will be difficult to beat at home and competitive away. Good Luck to them.
gazzac
I think knight let Buxton down a couple of seasons ago when he was dropped from Sheffield. I think he signed for Buxton but then retired I seem to remember Jake never let Eastbourne down last year, so look after him and he'll look after you. If he's confirmed as the new rider which seems the case pleased for you and should get your season going, bit top heavy but will be good to watch. fredbogge
Not going today Not going till Buxton Get a proper side 3 proper heat leaders 2 proper second strings and 2 reserves same riders every week a proper TEAM riders who will give their all for Buxton Speedway because borrowed riders do not give their best Edited May 21, 2017 by fredbogge

But the Wolves/Cradley promotion won't let him ride until after Cradley have been there today and collected their 4 points
