Sings4Speedway
So Chris hay quits i think we should get jamie halder in now What a joke. Signs and takes up a team place then quits after 1 meeting. The sport is better off without the likes of him.
CUFC_Brummie
Does Halder fit? Thought his average was too high before. Edited April 15, 2017 by CUFC_Brummie
ProudtobeaBrummie
halder is 3.57 we have 0.48 left to play with plus chris hays 3.23 giving us 3.
CUFC_Brummie
Good, think it was probably us signing Hay that put him out of reach previously. Sign him up.
secsy1
What a joke. Signs and takes up a team place then quits after 1 meeting. The sport is better off without the likes of him. Think that anyone who retires has specific reasons/circumstances behind them, so the only joke is upon a poor poster with negativity behind them!!!! Probably a post that I should have considered but much like each rider should consider if they can commit to a full season before signing. Obviously unexpected things happen and I wish Chris Hay all the best in the future and brum all the best in finding a suitable replacement

stevebrum
Brummies have had terrible luck so far this season. Another huge blow. Really rate Hume. Looked like having a breakthrough season as well. Get well soon Danyon.
CUFC_Brummie
Best wishes to Danyon, bloke seems to have terrible luck with a badly timed injury at the end of last season too. I suppose what we do is dependent on how long he's going to be out for. My preference would be to get Halder in at #2 ASAP and run R/R, or if he's not available (you'd have thought we'd have signed him by now if he was) then Dicken should be back soon I imagine, stick him and Leek at reserve and move Cupitt up to 2. I'd be surprised if there's anyone unattached with a 7 point average to cover but I stand to be corrected, and there's seemingly not a wealth of guests available (it's basically Greenwood and Stoneman from what I can tell). East End Fan
Sorry to hear about the serious injury to Danyon Hume. He is one of the brightest prospects for the future, so I really hope he repairs well. Brum will miss him for sure.
*JJ
R/R for Hume and use someone like Jenkins or Bickley guesting for Hay?? Or try Richard Hall again as a temporary signing? According to the Speedway Star he has done 6 matches in the PL with an average of 3.0.
East End Fan
Don't know why Richard Hall was not allowed to ride NL last season...silly decision IMO. Great asset at this level and a very exciting rider.

Brummiestormer
Terrible decision In your opinion....for heavens sake at least give the lad a chance,i think he will do as well as Chris Hay did in the #2 position and maybe with luck he will suprise a few people. Bar disaster Belle Vue will walk the league this season and play offs would be a reasonable aim for us and i personally get a lot of joy seeing youngsters progress as this league is supposed to do; we have had 2 seasons of wonderful success but this season we had to be realistic and not just glory hunters....don't get me wrong i'd love to win the league every year but i live in the real world.
