cityrebel
No raiders in 2017, concentrating on premiership racing only.

Only the NL4's made it bearable. If you're really that desperate to see NL racing, Mildenhall is only an hour or so away
Sings4Speedway
Not surprising but still disappointing. Perhaps the amateur racing points towards a MDL side? Otherwise all the statements about developing new riders is just PR guff.

Islander15
Fingers crossed lakeside take their place in the NL next season. They should sign Ben Morley but I bet Priest struggles to find a team on that average, despite an impressive season. A couple of em struggled to complete 4 laps without falling off after a season of racing. The Raiders were doomed when Andrew Silver left the club Edited November 11, 2016 by Shads

The riders that scored points were already at the level already and the new blood all have a very poor speedway schooling and were in no way ready for the NL. hackneyrocket
Putting all our eggs in one basket is a mistake. This promotion has shown a total misunderstanding of speedway and it's supporters. The Sky coverage and money which they seem to think is the holy grail does the sport no favours in my opinion. I for one won't be going to Rye anymore, the thought of seeing the same teams two or three times a season at probably an inflated price. A race night other than Saturday will be crap for attendances due to the difficulty in getting to the stadium. I sound very negative I know but I've been going to Rye since the 70's. I would much rather go to watch the Championship at Peterborough which I think will be a better league to watch. Very best of luck to Rye. Your argument is a little daft regarding seeing the same teams two or three times a season. Firstly, we saw Somerset and Plymouth twice last year in the League Cup and Premier League. Ipswich twice in the PL & KOC. Secondly, you don't have to go to every meeting, just pick and choose. The Premiership will just be a revamped PL. To say you won't be going at all seems a bit baffling. The extra money you'll spend travelling up to Peterborough will negate the extra pound or two entrance at Rye Edited November 11, 2016 by Shads

Someone who's been going to Rye House since the 70's will no longer be going because they've moved to a different league? I wish I was in your position to have a choice. I'll be over 300 miles away. Doubt I'll see the Rockets at all next year

GWC
Hope Luke Priest gets a team place somewhere, good team man and great to watch. Typifies what the NL is all about as a rider holding down a full time job.
